1. Stand up halfway through the movie and yell loudly, "Wait...where the hell is Harry Potter?"
2. Block the entrance to the theater while screaming, "YOU.....SHALL....NOT..... PASS!" - After the movie, say "Lucas could have done it better."
3. Play a drinking game where you have to take a sip every time someone says, "the Ring."
4. Point and laugh whenever someone dies.
5. Ask everyone around you if they think Gandalf went to Hogwarts.
6. Finish off every one of Elrond's lines with "Mis..ter Ander-sonnn."
7. When Aragorn is crowned king, stand up and at the top of your lungs sing, "And I did it.... MY way...!"
8. Talk like Gollum all through the movie. At the end, bite off someone's finger and fall down the stairs.
9. Dress up as old ladies and reenact "The Battle of Helms Deep," Monty Python style.
10. When Denethor lights the fire, shout "Barbecue!"
11. In TTT when the Ents decide to march to war, stand up and shout, "RUN FOREST, RUN!"
12. Every time someone kills an Orc, yell: "That's what I'm Tolkien about!" See how long it takes before you get kicked out of the theatre.
13. During a wide shot of a battle, inquire, "Where's Waldo?"
14. Talk loudly about how you heard that there is a single frame of a nude Elf hidden somewhere in the movie.
15. Start an Orc sing-a-long.
16. Come to the premiere dressed as Frankenfurter and wander around looking terribly confused.
17 When they go in the paths of the dead, wait for a tense moment and shout, "I see dead people!"
18. Imitate what you think a conversation between Gollum, Dobby and Yoda would be like.
19. Release a jar of daddy-long-legs into the theater during the Shelob scene.
20. Wonder out loud if Aragorn is going to run for governor of California.
21. When Shelob comes on, exclaim, "Man!Charlotte's really let herself go!"

When I saw Fellowship of the Ring, someone actually had thought that they were in Harry Potter. This woman brought in her six-year olds and everything. Then the Nazgul showed up, the kids started crying, and I think she got the picture.

i hope i can look without gettin bothered. but most of the time this is not true when a movie is just released.

I just got 2 of those King of the Rings movies from my sis both are special edition things with 4 DVDs each .. Im still trying to figure out if its like 2 movies or 8

I dont really remember much from the first one which I saw except for the Elf dude who shot an arrow in some big monsters head and never ran out of arrows.

Some guy I worked with kinda ruined my whole opinion of the movies by saying how hot all the elves were in there tight clothes and pointy ears or whatever he just kept going giving me chills and nightmares not to mention his love of harry poter (brrrrrrrrrrr) Couldnt bring myself to see the second one.

Musashi, the first two DVDs of each set is the movie that's been extended from the versions of those films that you would have seen in the theater. I think the extended editions give the viewer the feeling they would get as if they were reading the book. There's more character developement and the action is spaced out more. The other DVDs in those sets are hours and hours of bonus material. While they're really fascinating, I would definitely recommend not watching them all at once.

Anyways, regarding Legolas' arrows, the book says the he always would try to pull his arrows out of his victims and collect the arrows of his fallen enemies. Of course, there's only so much that they can include in the films...

Heh yeah that Legolas is pretty cool I think I remember him using the arrows as hand weapons at one point.

Thanks for clearing up that question even tho I have them sitting right in front of me I was still confused like a dumass. Now maybe I'll be able to pay attention and figure out whats going on, God people at the movies are annoying.

What do you all think is a better experience going to the movies or buying/renting dvd. Of course maybe it depends on your setup but I've gone to maybe 20 movies in the last 4/5 months and I think I'm pretty much done. Kill Bill was my last one, last straw. But that new LotR looks like it might be cool on bigscreen .. ohhh how I'm torn!!!

Go see Return of the King in the theater. Wait a couple of weeks if you don't want to deal with the crowd. It's hard to pick between the two experiences when it comes to Lord of the Rings, mostly because there's the theatrical version which I think is better to see in the theaters, and then the extended edition which is better on DVD. The extended edition is nice on DVD because you can appreciate the feeling you get from the movie sort of how you appreciate the book. You can close the book and come back to it in a couple of hours, and you can pause the DVD. However, the theatrical version needs to get to the point because I can't sit that long in a messy movie theater.

i can add something to the list.

plz dont make a telephone call during the movie telling the person everything that is going on in th movie.

i looked at the woman im talking about with an evil face and she stopped it rather quickly
