I've reached that point when you give more than you receive...
My brother is a cabinetmaker. I found a reference book called "The wood book". It comes in a wooden box. It's about almost every known kind of wood. Each page addresses a different kind. There is a short text, and three photographs showing a sample of this wood sliced in the three directions. Although it's supposed to be a technical book, reading it transports you to exotic, far-away places.
My other brother is very clumsy. It has become a tradition that every 2 years I give him a boxed set of 6 whisky glasses, 6 water glasses and 2 beer glasses. Next year I'll give him wine and cognac glasses. Then I'll begin again.
My mother is 72. She was an opera singer before she got married. I gave her tickets for an opera night, as I do each year. She will bring a friend and cry a little, but she'll have a great time.

I don't have any family to speak of, so made sure my gf was spoilt. 27" tv, 10 movies (each came with snacks), high-end cutting shears (she designs clothes), wack of spools of quality thread, about 10lbs of good chocolate, hand-made x-mas tree ornaments, funky x-mas hat, beeswax candles... Hmm, that's about it.
My brother has 3 kids and they live a long way away. I get to see them about once a year. They live in bush-country so I usually get them stuff like pellet guns, sling-shots, knives.... Have to wait till I visit them in the summer.
I want to be in Silver Surfers family

Man, you raked it in Silv.

I have a gift for all of you: DON'T MIX YOUR DRINKS!!!
Unless you wanna end up like me hunched over the toilet praying for my everloving soul for hours Christmas Eve needless to say there was lots of barfing going on.
Got carried away with the beer, wine and bubbly.
Funny thing was when I woke up Christmas morning I thought it might have been a dream till I looked over and saw a bucket sitting next to my bed.

I got this massage chair for the wife.
Yes, as a matter of fact, she IS spoiled.
She has back issues where she gets nauseous if her back muscles get too tight (pinched nerve(?)). Anyhow, it helps her out so it's worth it.
