"Love Josie Wales.....but my fav Clint movie is Unforgivin, maybe i should have done a top 20 list...."

Clint Eastwood rules. "Unforgiven" is definitely a masterpiece.

"Hell of a thing, killin' a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have."

Wow. I'm surprised that "Full Metal Jacket" is yet to be mentioned. That movie kicks ass!
I still flinch watching R. Lee Ermey (Sgt. Hartman) yell at viewers on 'Mail Call.':D

I feel redundant making a list. So many of my favorites have been listed already.

In no particular order:

Good Movies

Wed Feb 05, 2003 11:43 am

Boondock Saints
The Professional - aka LEON
The Score - A fine DeNiro film
Pulp Fiction - Bring out the GIMP.
Fight Club - The first rule of fight club?
Full metal jacket - Do you suck dicks? are you a peter puffer?
Heat - another great DeNiro film
The Bridge on the River Kwai
American History X
Anything Christopher Walken is in is good.

Movies with nazi's are good.

Where eagles dare - Clint Eastwood killed more men (nazi's) in this movie than ANY of the Dirty Harry movies.

Das Boot - A very fine film if you have 3 and 1/2 hours to kill.

The guns of navarone - A must see.

Indiana Jones - Raiders of the lost ark - Last crusade. lots of good nazi killing.

I know there are many more good films, but I am tired of typing.:D

i myself am a movie guru..but you have to put these in with all the ones mentioned

Platoon(nobody Mentioned it)
Let it Ride
Resevour Dogs (nobody mentioned it)
Seven (nobody mentioned it)
True Romance (gotta love Gary Oldman in this on..."is it white boy day?")
Friday
Animal House
Meet the Parents
Oceans eleven (both of em)
Midway
i could keep going but i'll stop here......

Thu Feb 06, 2003 5:02 pm

i've seen a new movie (new for me and it's also quite good so...

best thriller: "Urban Legend" => Man, you stay cool, laugh at the dead ones but after the movie when you go to bed you do check under your bed and if every person or animal (my cats) is still alive... :D

Wed Feb 19, 2003 4:33 am

Tops that nobody mentioned yet(and that I can think of):

Seven Samurai
Yojimbo (the basis for A Fistful of Dollars and Last man Standing)
Evil Dead II
Army of Darkness
Memento
Pitch Black
Christmas Vacation
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Enter the Dragon
A Shot in The Dark (Gotta love Peter Sellers)

Movies should expand your thoughts, don't be afraid to steer away from the main stream sometimes.....
The Oscars are total bullshit by the way.... Who will remember A Beautiful Mind in 20 years? Who will remember LOTR? Case closed.

Wed Feb 19, 2003 10:02 am

1) Airplane
2) Ronin
3) Kentucky Fried Movie
4) Vacation (the orig. or European only)
5) Saving Private Ryan
6) Heat
7) Airplane II
8) Scarface
9) Platoon
10) Pulp Fiction

I have to give it up for (almost) anything Deniro, Eastwood, or Pacino are in. Also, not a great movie but one I watch anytime it's on - Breakfast Club (maybe, I relate to that one too much...).

Ronin

Wed Feb 19, 2003 2:05 pm

Ronin, that was a damn good movie.
