i use the 1.41 and i haven't any probs with it so... it fixes the bug about gibbed people who stay moving, it works.

I just got RTCW platinum edition and it comes out of the box as 1.32. I tried updating to 1.4 or 1.41 patch and they both say they can't find the game. ASE and Gamespy finds the game and I can connect to the ECGN server but the patches will not work.
Help.

As far as i know platinum edition mp is already at version 1.41
to make sure go to the rtcw directory and open the file called ANET
it will have your verison info.

1.4.1 patch fixes two different USELESS things...
· Fixed bug in Anti-lag weapon prediction code where Player's body remains present, animated with Medic icon - Even when player has "tapped out".
· Fixed miscellaneous issues in anti-lag code that generated unpredictable results.

worked great for me....I did notice that game flowed alot better too, my ping was always staying the same, finally

It wasn't the patch that did that, might have jsut been server was running good today. A patch that updated the things that it did wouldn't help your ping..pure coincidence probally.

lol thanks for ruining my parade, what I did tho, I had everything on full settings, put everything down to the lowest, ping is good now, no lag, and my aim is even better now

Would single player run a different version than MP? I went to the tilde and thats were I got my version. Also on the SP starup screen it shows the version. So the question is, does SP run a different version than MP?

Thats correct.. sp player is v1.32..
