Postby {NNC}Charged » Fri Feb 06, 2004 2:12 pm

I know it isn't just me as of late, but on the server lately, is anyone else having problems with massive lag spikes from punkbuster??

I noticed it every now and then the first day or so, but I have not seen any in the last few days.

Actually, for me, ever since punk buster was put to use, everything seems to be running a little smoother. I don't lag anymore than usual. During peak hours is when I lag most. Most people seem to play at 6 or 7, and during those hours, many people are on the internet. During 9 pm and on, game play is just fine.

Man i used to lag to hell, most times it would pass, or at least become playable in about 10 mins.didnt understand why because my ping was always under 60, what a nuisance!
Was running 256 megs bumped it to 768, problem solved :P

I find that I lag for alittle while when I first enter the server, but then it is smooth. I have never been kicked by punk buster.

I don't really think there is a need for punkbuster on 24/7 Beach. The admins can usually find cheaters fairly easily.

/pb_sleep 999

basically sets it to 500 or 555 one of those.
