Lives Poll 2
There are 25 minutes for Allies to battle for the Axis Beach Complex on the ECGN server. How many lives should each side have? Remember, more lives for either side equals more spam and kamikazee style play by each side.

thats ridiculous..el cid...theres way too many players..if you limited lives like this everyone would camp their ass off...30-40 is good

I dont think of the limiting of lives, I think of increasing the quality of play. Its easy to keep on dying, wasting your lives and such. Thats why alot of the players on this server never improve, and the game gets mundane. You also allow for strategic timing at the end of the game, so that people who skulled affect their sides performance. There is no reason to set the lives at a limit where you just have 1 left, in the last mintue and you dont have to pace yourself through the game. Instead you should lower the lives, therefore each person must sustain their life, and medics become more popular. To illustrate my point, think about how many players on this server routinely tap out the bodies of dead enemies so they cant be revived by the enemy. Its not as common as it is on servers with players of a higher skill level.

Not everyone wants improvement. Second, those who do can and will improve on this server. When I first started here my kill ratio was .4. Now as of today it is 2.1, with a 36% accuracy. Players can improve on this server if they want to, it doesn't mean that if they want improvement changes have to be made to help them get better. And if they want to get even better theres other servers out there for them. I like 30/40 myself along with Typhoon. 20/30 is still too low, there are nade spamming, panzers, venoms, and air strikes that will make people skull right off the bat. If more noobs start skulling more often they will start going to other servers, and they won't have a chance to become a regular here. And that will lessen the players who play here.

The quality of play is fine theres nothing wrong with all the lamer weapons, although I am one to bitch about them, they still must be used to win the game. This shouldn't be an all MP40 vs Thompson server, having heavy weapons makes it funner IMO.

umm medics are the most played class, allies usually 75% of their team is medics, and axis usually have plenty of medics to..theres no reason we need more medics. You have a good point. But the fact is that I did not say heavy weapons needed to be limited. If it were up to me there would be no restrictions on soldiers or lieutenents. Everything can be solved with other measures. IMO the spawn killing that Axis are known for against the Allies would be solved by increasing their respawn time to 20 or 30 seconds. That makes every kill an Allie makes much more valuable, and it gives the Allies a better chance to make it out of the Trenches where all the spawn killing occurs. Right now if you kill an Axis near the trenches it doesnt really matter much because you'll meet that same guy again coming down the stairs 5 seconds later.

People usually go as medics to give themselves health, not to revive their teamates and win as a team. This is true because most people will tap out, because it doesnt pay to wait for a medic.
