What is a good pair of headphones for gaming?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I am looking for headPHONES! Not a headset.

Which brand provides great sound quality at an affordable price?

Thanks! :)

I'm using Labtech Digital, which seem to be of reasonable quality. Except the length of chord. It's about 3 feet. Which means I have to turn my computer around backwards and play with a chord acting like a garrot while I play.

Yes, I know they sell extension chords. That's not the point. The point is.... what drooling, gibbering, lobotomized, catatonic, cross-eyed dim-wit design team would ship a product like head-phones with only a THREE FOOT CHORD???

No, the length was not mentioned on the nearly indestructable hardened bullet-stopping plastic packageing.

Yes, they were specifically targeted as 'Computer Gaming Digital Head-phones'. "Best I sell" said the owner of MASTER COMPUTERS in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, MainSt. West.

The best by far. Mine cost me $150 for a mid level pair.

They make great pairs that are below $100 as well.

Which one is best for all around battlefield/music usage (most I want to pay is $100)?

There are so many choices (audiophile, home entertainment, dj, etc...)

Jeffro:

Try the HD500's @ 100 bucks even. (1999 CES Innovations Award Headphones)

Here

I personally have the HD570's and love them! Never has a pair of headphones sounded as good as my Sennheiser's, no kidding.

Jeffro,

They do have some Sennheisers at Best Buy.

Sennheiser at Best Buy

If you have gift certificates there, than I would suggest you go into the store and try a few pairs out from all manafacturers and then make a decision.

When it comes to anything you're gonna put on your ears and head and wear for a while, comfort and sound go hand and hand.

Try before you buy bro.

Sounds good!

I think I will hop over there to check em out!

:)

Time to look at my CURRENT headphone situation.

These are my current sony headphones. They do not have the padding protection for your ears anymore, so I taped some napkins on the ends. Ghetto to the max!
