A Whine from last nights Coral Sea

Postby FarginMofo » Mon Feb 09, 2004 12:11 pm

Just had to whine about this one. The map has just started and I'm flying the first plane (sbd) off the carrier. Only a few seconds have passed as I'm trying to gain some altitude and someone on our carrier starts to flak me taking 3 bars of health off. Ugh!

Were you on axis? We had this problem on the axis carrier and couldn't find who it was. Rule of Wrist was so mad we almost all bailed out of the TS channel. :)

The scary part is I've been much louder and madder than last night :( I had to take a break after axis lost the front flag within 1 min on husky  :(

On coral, axis TS guys just need to abandon the carrier AA altogether, since it's almost useless, and concentrate on flying and manning island AA... let the noobs man the carrier guns...

I swear, half the time, it's like it takes people 200 tickets to figure out where the other ship is and actually drop bombs on it... watching one of the worst handling planes in the game (aichival) trying to dogfight is almost painful...

And yes, I probably take this too seriously, and no, I probably won't change :D

Well, yes you do take this game too seriously. And because of this, there IS one thing we wish you would change.

YOUR SHORTS!!!!

Please get up and leave the game when you feel the need to visit the restroom facilities.

I can understand getting confused during Coral Sea and flaking your own planes by mistake but not at the very start of the map. Common sense would tell you that it would be impossible for an enemy plane to be where I was that soon into the map.

I said it once and I'll say it again, the KEY to Coral sea is not the planes themselves *of course they do help tremdously*, the key is to man as many AA island spots as possible.

Our island AA, the NW AA, the middle island AA and best of all, THEIR ISLAND AA.

As much as I hate to admit........I agree with Buli. ;)

Also, ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!!!! It sickens me when I see 'pilots' trying to dogfight with vals and SBDs when there is NO NEED TO!!!! Use those planes to ATTACK THEIR CARRIER!!! If you're in a bomber and you hear about an enemy AA somewhere near you, go back and BOMB IT!!! That's about the only time a bomber should change course from your carrier to theirs, other than to 'try' to avoid being shot up from behind.

The more planes you have over their carrier, the less chance you have of being shot down by AA. Come at ALL DIRECTIONS all at ONCE!!!!!

Game Over.....:D

Also, don't fly through center of map, enemy fighters are waiting for you there, not to mention central isalnd AA.

I was on Axis last night, I had a score of 23-45-30 or something. There were a couple of morons who found it funny to lie in the way of the planes taking off causing us to get a TK. Damn smackers.

Also, it seems both sides had a lot of morons using the AA guns because it seems they caused more damage to our own planes taking off than enemy planes :(

I love Coral but mostly it results in a smack-fest :(

Well, I think with the wrenches the way they are now, that if you got a gang of guys in some SBDs/Aichivals and attack at once, you could probably take their carrier down pretty quickly.

Ugh I HATE those people, I actually got a bot kick because 3 of them decided they hated life and jumped infront of my plane right as the map started, I was so pissed I didn't bother coming back.

it wasnt i smack fest this time ....this time the axis had it stacked....wrist, fargin, residue, buli, levar, muzgy et al....were all on axis...me and bagginses were on allies and it was impossible. yall know when this this happens.... why dont you fix it and make the game a little more competative? TS #'s were not that far off just all the known pilots were grouped on axis making the map unplayable for allies...i was playing with an alias Nick but im sure most of you know who i was.
I have not failed...I have just found 10,000 ways that don't work.
