Martha Stewart = jail time

she was found guilty on all counts. Though I wonder if she'll actually go to jail.

Yes. The US gov't couldn't handle allowing people who are guilty of "corporate irresponsability" just pay a fine and walk away. She'll get jail time - whether or not she'll actually serve it is another story. The sentence could get commuted or suspended, but I have a feeling she'll have a stay in the 'ole stripey hole.

According to the article, she reportedly saved around $51,000 dollars by selling her stock before the price fell.
Am I the only one that thinks that the time, energy, legal wrangling and media attention wasted on this case for a lousy fifty grand is just a little shy of insane?
I realize that the Justice dept. is tring to make a 'point' about white collar crime, but I honestly believe their time would be better spent chasing down some of the bigger fish in the pond. Corporate America is riddled with more corruption and underhanded tactics than most third world dictatorships - can't society do better than to lock up a tight-fisted craft queen?
That being said, I've never liked Martha. I hope some butch prisoner in a bright orange jumpsuit makes her her bitch.

You all know how this is going to turn out, right?
She is going to pay off somebody on the side or pay her way otherwise into freedom...
$$$=do whatever the hell you want!
(just look at O.J. Simpson, or Michael Jackson)
