Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Terrorist attack.

Postby [U.S.C] Amaryl » Thu Mar 11, 2004 7:21 pm

Today it is has been a day that hardly is going to be forgotten by our people, a lame coward terrorist attack that has shocked our democracy and showed us how a person can be, slaughtering almost 200 people and injuring 1500 people in our intercity train system.
this is a moment when pèople´s support is again highly needed and of course gratefully.
Another terrorist attack where they have showed us that we are all enemies of his point of view, no exceptions.
I got some friends that have sereval injuries and superficial wounds, thanks god they werent so close where the bombs were located and blew the train.
I hope this type of things doesn´t need to be writen again because of some unintelligent fanatical life forms that we still use the word to describe them as "human being" despite last events of some importance

Amaryl,

I live in New York and was here during 9/11. I had walked to within 30 blocks of the trade center towers when the first one collapsed. I was standing by St Vincents hospital on 16th street when the second tower collapsed, I will never forget seeing the hospital personnel, some 30-40 of them, standing outside the emergency room in the street waiting for the ambulances to arrive. None came.

Thankfully no one that I personally knew lost their life in that tragedy, but I have too many friends that did know someone. Personally, my struggle that day was not being able to contact my wife for almost 2 hours to let her know I was alright. Believe it or not, 2 years later I still get emotional just writing this post.

It's a terrible thing when a few people can inflict such a horror on society. You will eventually move past the grief and begin the process of healing, until then stay strong and trust that there is justice in the world. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your fellow countrymen and women. Peace.

My sympathy's for all involved. The murdering of innocent men women and children is the act of a vile human being that should be put down in the same fashion as a rabbid dog should be, by my Smith and Wesson.

May the hand of whatever god it is that rules the universe push them into the deepest darkest corners of what we call hell.

The American people know what it feels like to have your sense of security smashed into bits and your fury towards the evil in the world swell so. My deepest sympathies go to you, and deepest rage go with you to the ones who comitted the dastardly acts.

Terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to the Spanish people, I'm also sorry to see the terrorists have helped change the elections in Spain. If its true that the attacks helped ax the Popular Party, the terrorist will have achieved their goal.

Sadly, it will be, over and over again.
