I receive these emails every now and again. I think it's kinda funny...

Our government having seized all their accounts in America and Europe,there?s some money deposited in our Local Bank by her late husband which she can not transfer out because she?s being monitored by security agents. She consulted me to use our Ministry?s account to transfer the money out.
This is why we need your assistance, with the help of the bank director who is also a friend to her husband while alive. We will transfer the money through our account to your account. The bank director has assured us of his assistance after discussing with him.
We want to know if you can receive the money into your account without any problem. The amount is fifty three million five hundred thousand United States Dollars (USD53.5M). If you can assist us by providing an account where the money will be deposited, or in the alternative, we can arrange for a suitable place where we can convey the money via diplomatic means for you to go there and claim the consignment.

Be careful with that shit guys. Nigerians are big time into check fraud. I would wonder where they got you from and keep an eye on your account(s). Especially as to wether or not you have new accounts you don't know about yet.
I currently work in the check industry and one of our big flags is all about Nigerians commiting check fraud. There was a group busted in Minnesota a year ago who ran up over 5 million in check fraud before getting caught.
Nothing quite as much fun as checking your credit report and finding you owe several thousand dollars you never actually spent.

Yeah it's a yahoo account that is basically used for junk. I have no idea how they get my email address. I've received maybe a half a dozen of these over the last year.

I have also recieved these e-mails. It is always a high rated person in need of assistance because someone died and they're always Nigerians. I once replied on also and I said "This e-mail is only used for emergencies." They said that is IS an emergency and Her excellency (or whatever) MAY BE PROSECUTED and I replied "who cares." Funny stuff lol.

I remember seeing a link to somebodie's site one time, who got one of those letters, and proceeded to start messing with the guy... it was too funny...
He sent him a doctored driver's license with William Shatner's picture and a name on the license of James T Kirk...
Later he came up with some story about how he told them that people were after him and he had to kill somebody over it, and made a fake photo of one of his buddies, in a bathtub with blood all over the place and sent them that...
I was laughing so hard at the shit this guy did to them that I almost fell out of my chair, since you could tell from the responses that the guy on the other end was just fishing for anything he could get...

I have got them too...and frankly, they could be harmless, but they still scare the crap out of me for the fraud possibilities...
Maybe I am just some random guy who got it, or maybe they already found out a tonj about me...which is scary!
