Trigger port vs. Public port
I have this game I'm trying to play, and I like to play online and I need to open ports to do so. I know what ports to open, and I know how to get to where I need to enter the port numbers.
But I've run into a bit of a snag. I have a SpeedStream router and when I go to open ports I get the get 2 columns to enter text (port numbers) and after each there are 2 buttons "UDP and TCP" I know its UDP.
One of the ports I need to open is "5120 to 5300" but I only have 10 spaces to enter ports, and the trigger ports wont let me type "5120 to 5300" or "5120 - 5300" but the "Public Port" text thing will let me do that. My question is, is which do I use, I'm thinking common sense says the Public Port box, but then what is the Trigger Port box for?
Do we have a networker in the house?

Are you sure you need to open ports to play that game? Normally you only do that if you want to run a server.
Anyway, your screen shots look very much like SMC's "special application" screen. It's used for certain tricky servers like FTP, which need to open multiple ports for incoming traffic when triggered by a connection on a control port. For example, to run a FTP server behind my firewall, I put 21 as the trigger port, and the range 23580-23582 as the public port. Then I configure my FTP server to use range 23580-23582 as data ports. So, when clients connect to my FTP server on port 21, they will send/receive data thru ports 23580-23582.
It's possible your game is like that, but you need to know the trigger port, otherwise it doesn't make sense.
