I was playing a nice round of RTCW while I did my laundry today, and asked if anybody knew when the movie Van Helskink comes out because it looked good.

4 or 5 people then started bitching that if I want to chat, I should go to a message board or start a chat server; and that the server isn't for chatting.

Now I'm all for not having chat spammed all the time, but I liked how the server was when I first started playing the game, which was about 6 months ago, and stuck with this server because it felt like a bunch of friends playing on a LAN; even though I'm on the west coast. A lot of people knew each other, and it didn't seem like I was just playing against 63 computers.

If I'm no longer allowed to speak, and its just going to be zombie players who never talk and take the game to seriously, then this server will cease to be fun.

Just a few thoughts I had after today's round. It was just one simple question I asked to a server I thought just liked to have a good time, and an occasional friendly interaction.

If that is to much chatting for you, you can suck it long; and you can suck it hard.

Van Helsing looks cool as hell. Hugh Jackman is always a fun actor to watch. But I would go just to see Kate Beckinsale draped in renaissance gear...wo0t!!! The night crew is much friendlier, unless you're on the other team.

I was there when you said that. I agree with you, people should not have told you to go to a chat room or something. This is a friendly server with many regulars. It is nice to have a friendly conversation while playing.

Spam would be saying the same thing over and over again, advertising, cursing, etc.

i wasnt there but i know that for the most part the "regulars" dont really act that way. Its generally some punk ass home-schooled kid with no social skills who is afraid of any type of communication other than a gun... computer generated or otherwise.

Now i know im the first person to start mixing it up... tellin' people how i feel in a not so nice manner... but thats generally after someone starts being a dick after a comment about "camping" in the WR. Its generally one of the people that was hanging out in there for all 25 minutes of the round. Now, that being said, if you wanna get some ideas about a movie or whatever i cant think of a better place other than the forums to ask than in the game. You have up to 63 rseponses to a question.

Just a shame that over half of them are the home-schooled, no social skill havin', War Room Camping, Brut wearing, monkey pullin', cyclops lovin pin-heads who tell you to "STFU"

I know you can get 63 replies in theory, but all I asked is when it was due to come out. Was just something I thought of right then and there and would have been a quick answer.

I enjoy being able to shoot a little shit with people while playing; and definately enjoy an ice cold Budweiser as well

I was just surprised how many people were complaining about ANY chat going on, and I know the regulars don't whine like that; I've played with most of them for quite awhile, and consider myself a regular in a way. This is the only server I've ever played aside from a few games here and there on penguin.

So to everybody....

Grab a frosted mug, and pour yourself an ice cold beer and enjoy yourself on the server. If you are under age, pour yourself a nice Root Beer or Cream Soda

I was there, and didn't think it was a big deal. The "atmosphere" could have been more freindly, but maybe someone was having a bad day or something.

I was more interested in trying to transmit the docs! (Which I could not do this morning). There is always tomorrow!!

i wanna see that movie. looks like its gonna be good. i dont mind chattin at the beach at all. unless its somtheing like what kind of girl scout cookies is someone gonna sell today. i cant stand that crap. remember people its a game for people to come together and kill talk and have a good time.

Sorry to hear you had that experience Heart Collector. We've had a rise in tards recently due to some admin-bot kicking problems. Which, by the by, is being looked into.

No worries mate. It's a good crowd at the Beach, over-all. Must have hit a moment when the Special-Olympics wal-mart discount Wolf-buyers got on-line together.

It looks really good. I'm a huge horror/fantasy fan, but alot of the movies in the last 6 years have been lame. This one looks like it has the potential to be another really good one.

Hugh Jackman is in it (wolverine in X-Men).
