Far Cry

Postby MoDyna » Thu Apr 22, 2004 10:06 am

Anybody bought this game yet? Any recommendations? Worth the money?
I carry twenty-three great wounds all got in battle. Seventy-five men have I killed with my own hands in battle. I scatter, I burn my enemies' tents. I take away their flocks and herds. The Turks pay me a golden treasure, yet I am poor! Because *I* am a river to my people!

I haven't bought it, but I have heard the specs to run it well are pretty up there. I have heard nothing but good things about how pretty the game is, but I don't recall reading any gameplay reviews. If you would like I can sit here in Fl and cry like a school girl, I believe you live far enough away to qualify it as a far cry... :P

Yes, I have it, and I have played it through almost to the end.

If I had to put it simply, the game is okay. It's fun, but the levels are a bit redundant. The graphics are astonishing, but eye candy only goes so far.

I don't know what to tell you - if you want a game to keep you busy for a while, it's worth it, but if you want an incredible gameplay experience, you won't find it here.

I'm currently playing, the game looks great but pretty much like any other shooter for the most part I didn't find the AI to be all that. I'm almost finished with the game i'd say you can blow through the whole game in less then a week. not sure how go the multiplayer is as i haven't tried it. It runs well with lowest settings on my machine specs in the sig.
