Which regulars did you bring to ECGN?

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Which regulars did you bring to ECGN?

Postby Ralph Wiggum » Thu Apr 22, 2004 9:13 pm

I also thought I would call this thread "who knows who in real life."

I started playing BF1942 sometime in late 2002 on the OC48 server. I am now directly responsible for the following regulars: Sir Loin McCockenstein, LeVar Burton, and Doyle Hargrave who are all my brothers. I also take indirect credit/blame for Fingerbang (Sir Loin's buddy) and Dudley Dawson (Doyle's buddy). Also Sgt. Savage, who is different from Col. Savage, was one that I was indirectly responsible for via Sir Loin but I don't think he has played in a while.

Well I brought myself here, although I did see Buli spamming it up on the PC boards at Ign. After playing on the ECGN server for a bit, I decided to check out the fourms and here I am.

You can thank Buli's stuka raids on top of my skull for bringing me here as well. :flame:

As for myself, I've tried to spread the ECGN name and servers around but with an immense hatred for EA and the Battlefield series, not many people are willing to give it a chance. It's all UT2K4 this and FarCry that. Blah. Crap shooters if you ask me.

I'm responsible for Lifeline, MajorFatty, and Pvt. Lazy Eye (formerly Pvt. PMASS). As you might guess, PMASS aka Lazy Eye is my brother (Mass is a shortened version of our last name). MajorFatty is now my roommate as of 4/1. Lifeline is another friend, but he mostly plays for short spurts (when his kids are sleeping) and is not on TS (says too much noise).

Funny Ralph, I was thinking about the same idea for a thread.

I think I was the first of our group to find this server. I brought Apocolypse, Killer Kynd and DeathDealer68 (3 brothers)

Me, myself and I. I've told several people about this place, and although they've stopped by a few times, they haven't become regs.

I stumbled here one night looking for a use for teamspeak. thought 64 players would be more fun than 32 at the HPSF Denver clan server I always played. Almost never go back now it is just no fun playing flag tag. I did play a long time on bocage 24/7 CTF but it went away. I have no one around here who plays other than on my CPU's I guess my smacktard son PVT. Quentin plays here when I am away. He is also "little Q" in BFV. So I guess I can take credit for him, I brought him into this world and the server.

Yeah, I think you're the only person I've ever seen on the forums from Idaho. What do people from Idaho call themselves anyway? Idahoans?

Edit: Also, isn't Doyle indirectly responsible for you ending up at ECGN, Ralph? I'm also probably responsible for discouraging many regs from ever playing BF ever again... I'm that F'ing good...

Yeah Im like the father of battlefield for Ralph, Sir Loin, and Levar. Im the f-ing architect from the matrix herego I own yall. I'm also responsible for all these M60 complaints.. I ride people and pimp them out in chilly cold blood with my M60. Believe that.

It is true that Doyle is the one who told me about BF back in the day, but the thread is about ECGN. When Doyle described BF I thought he was on crack, but it truly was a groundbreaking game.

By the way LeVar, your comments to Quentin remind me of a joke:

How come the Ms. Ebonics Pageant only had 49 entrants?

Because they couldn't find any one to wear the Idaho banner.
