Ooops I did it again! Fried the mobo and vid card...
Yup, ABiT BH-7 and the ATI Radeon 9500 Pro... and the culprit, once again for the 2nd time, the stupid TMD fan on my Vantec AeroFlow P4!!!
That thing draws too much juice, especially on start-up, had it hooked to a fan controller, the Vantec Nexus 201...and gee, I was listening to my mp3s when all of a sudden the system shut off on its own, and I couldn't turn the system back up. After a few tries, I smelled that burning smell of plastic...ugh, burn circuit boards all smells the same...sigh.. after fiddling around I narrowed down the motherboard as dead, and the TMD fan was responsible...it burn out the channel it was on in my fan controller too...!! Stupid, unreliable ABiT!!
I went out and bought an ASUS P4P8X and now running with everything fine, cept I'm on my back-up video card, an whopping fast TNT2 64M 32MB!!! OOOO, watch me ownz u all in BF1942 with my 0.5FPS!
It'll be like a week to a week and a half before I get my 9500 Pro RMA'd from ATI, which RMA Dept. is like 20 mins drive from where I live, yet I can't drop it off, I have to mail it...sigh!
Soo , guess I'll be missing the festivities (the match with FHA, and that filming stunt stuff) on ECGN for that period..
Lessons for you all to learn here:
1) ABiT sucks.
2) Don't use TMD fans, they'll kill your mobo first, then your video card.
3) I'm a smacker for not learning from the first time.
4) Yeah that's right, I'm a smacker!
Oh well, no gaming means = more time with the girlfriend I guess..haha but I'll miss my gaming though! ARGHHH!
Oh yeah, forget to add:
I'll be reinstalling apps, updating Windows and all that for a long time..fun stuff after that new required mobo format! /sarcasm!

Abit is not at fault for you running a defective fan. Abit most certainly does not suck. Soyo, now they suck, both product and service. Asus has shit service, but makes good product. I can't really comment on abit's service, seeing as I've never had a part go bad.
Unfortunately, alot of fans are sold as 3pin, or are bought with an adaptor to make them 3pin, and then you end up with these kind of current issues. I try to run nothing more than a 60mm on my mobo headers, and that's only when I've run out of PSU connectors.....
You smacker

Soyo doens't suck! I got a soyo mobo and it's awesome. Nothing is broken on it and everything works perfectly. Althought it does seem they do have bad support, because they never answered my e-mails that I sent them ahead of time asking them if their mobos support 1.6Ghz durons since they had old charts that only went up to 1.3Ghz durons.

I don't even think a TNT2 64M, will work with BF because it doesn't support T&L or whatever I think i haveone of those thing and i hate it because it's a worthless agp card, at least if it was pci i could use it for a second monitor on my PC
