the easiest way to revive someone that has auto push on , is to stab em in the nards with the needle. directly in the nards and make sure u are lookin straight at the nards when poking.......

oh and another thing, having +salute on is no more of a exploit than changing ur cvars in one's config. i mean cmon, u guys are complaining about pushing on a server that only has people, that can play one map. it seems to me that some exploits will have to be used to make the damn thing interesting.

oh and as for noobs only using +salute , i seems to remember Edogg and Elite Guard using this all the time... are these 2 noobs?

Well then yes they are, and you moved to ET, which is basically all cheap kills, and far less skill involved. +Salute on auto is for idiots, im sorry to rant like this, but its true.

ok.. again salute is for shrub like any mod it can be takin out . salute is not a stock wolf command bind or whatever u want to call it ..salute to me seems like a selfish command to leave on and a unfair advantage to use at any time against the enemy.u should not be able to push an axis at any time even if they are blocking the door to the radio room thats what your gun is for ff is on if they are blocking most likely a teammate will shoot them clearing the door for you.wolf was not designed to have a push.the mod has major flaws including mangling players on revives and faster movement when used with lean and strafe jump.giving hints as to how to adjust your gameplay to allow autopush is even more selfish.basically telling use we got to change are legit style of gameplay so u can run around shoving people at will .the only reason i started this thread was to bring it out in the open.iam fully capable of using /+salute myself and pushing players back but i dont see that making things any better.bottom line we all cant use it so why should a handful be able to expliot this i.m.o very flawed mod if players continue to push me from behind ill turn around and give them a h.s or toss a knife into there face, the whining and asking for kicks is just getting old and i dont expect it to be removed just because that i think its g4y and completely noob, just dont bitch back when u are left without a helmet cause u feel the need to push me every friggin time out the spawn

Heres a toggle I made for autopush, put it in your config or autoexec, and hit ctrl (or whatever key you set it to) to turn on autopush, and hit ctrl again to turn it off:

set pushoff "-salute;echo ^1NORMAL;set pushtoggle vstr pushon"
set pushon "+salute;echo ^2PUSHING;set pushtoggle vstr pushoff"
set pushtoggle "vstr pushoff"
bind ctrl "vstr pushtoggle"

Changing your cvar isn't an exploit. But change them to far and you can find exploits, which is why we have punkbuster to enforce the server's maximum server cvar settings.

In know its not an exploit, you can use cvar changes in any league for wolf (except CAL next season, possibly). I just wanted to understand what he said about using them. You do not need to use cvars on the beach server except for cg_fov.
Everything is close combat and tons of people everywhere, seeing the enemy is very easy, Cvars are mainly to adjust things like the lighting on a map to help you see in very dark areas, and to see further (neither are needed on beach with more than 26 players.)

When /+salute is bound to a key, is it still on after I use it or should I bind a key to do /-salute ?
Cuz I only use it to push the doorblockers and I dont want to have it permanently on.

As far as I'm aware, typing it into the console as /+salute leaves it on always, hence, auto push.

Bind it to a key and you get a single push with each press. Holding the button down gives the same result as auto push.

Yeah I think in the RtCW console manual it says any command bound to a key with a + gets a - when it's depressed or something.

Just like all other controversies let's have a vote !
I think trickjumping the wall is an unfair exploit .I use to play Kingpin years ago and these exploits ruined the gameplay so the mod writer took out the ablility to do it .
