Looking to purchase a laptop
I see the DELL Inspirion 9100, looks damn nice.
Mainly this will be for single player RPGs, some work stuff and MMORPG playing.
Not much in the way of BF 1942/Vietnam etc.
Any recommendations?
Local stores too.

Hmmm... My dad is looking for a laptop for the real-estate work he is going to be doing soon...
I think his big thing is the ability to go to any Starbucks like place in town, sit down with a client, and search for houses wirelessly, etc. He is a big Mac guy (he needs a PC for the software hes gonna be using) so he doesnt know what to look for. Any ides?

What MMORPGS are you looking to play?
I know there are quite a few that push my system to the limit.
Anyway, nowadays it really depends on if you're going to go wireless or not. If so, look at the Centrino processors, and make sure if it isin't, that its a mobile processor. Both mobiles and the Centrino are easier on battery life than the rest.

Mac's are just plain crap compared to people who use windows everyday. Also a lot of games don't work on Macs.

Oh and Buli, I like the IBM thinkpads. I have one (not for games really). It's a 1.8ghz p4(m), with 256 mb ram. I'm buying it from a friend for 800 since he's getting a new one. It has a build in wireless (b) card. Also has a 16x dvd rom. Not the power you probably want, but it's got loads of good software it came with. For wireless and such.

Lol... Theres a reason why Macs dont need support... My dad has had his desktop (a blue and white G3 tower) for like 5 years... and not a single component has failed. He has upgraded the HD and the processor (G4 now) but it runs great
Yeps MAC's don't need much support and A LOT of companies don't support MAC's. Nice little turn of phrase there if I do say so myself.

I just got a Dell latitude D800 laptop for work and it is great. It has a cd burner and a wireless option. It would probably play BF but would be laggy as heck. I have command and conquer generals on it right now and it plays fine.
