General interest...

Greetings bacteria (bacteriie?) and viruses (virusie?)
Some changes of note on the ECGN rtcw Beach 24/7 server:
Stats is more or less fubar. It may or may not work. Long and involved story, interesting in the middle, confusing in the end, which basically amounts to When it works, it works. When it doesn't, don't pester admins repeatedly to get it back up. *coughpcSlayercough*
Admin level 1. Regular beach players who frequent the server and are calm, thoughtful, considerate, polite and good-natured will get promoted to Admin level 1. Currently we havn't found anyone like that so are accepting ok people who kill a lot and don't cause lots of problems.
What this will give you: The chance to impress a member of the opposite sex visiting your hastily-cleaned computer den that someone, somewhere thought YOU were special and capable of weilding vast powers over mere peons. Beyond elliciting a gasp, ooo-and-ahh and wetting of lips of said member of the opposite sex (or same if that's your preferance) Level 1 admin will stop anyone being able to vote-kick you or vote-ignore you. Please request this from me or Savant.
Please note--this is not a given. It depends on your general character. So, if you're a jerk, tard, tourettes typer etc, but play on the server a lot, you're not going to get it. Nor does it mean you're moving up the admin ladder. It just means if a bunch of wacko's come in and try and vote people out, they won't be able to do it to you.
BD Savant is now Senior admin along with me (we're both taking umbrage at being called 'senior' as it's uncomfortably reminiscent of our age). Congrats Savant. So, folks, you can now pester him endlessly in /m savant to get admin status or changes to the server. Remember, that's /m savant in the game or pm him through the forums.
What else....
!slap is gone. Much loved and giggled over, it shall be missed. On the bright side bans and temp-bans definately work. Please ask Subway Shaun for details. We now have other amusing things like !pip (faiery dust) !pop (knocks everyones helmet off) !glow (causes an eerie glow to appear somewhere on the board.
I'd like to take this moment to thank Boc-Good and Man-at-Arms for spending their spare time providing the server, keeping it running, and updating the admin bot. Very much appreciated gentlemen.

Thanks for the info. Been playin' here for about year now and am glad to see people are still enthusiastic about keeping the life of this great server going. it sucks that the stats don't work as well as they used to, but oh well i haven't stayed here this long for the stats. Viva le ECG 24/7!!!!!!

d00d its not admin status, it's just a privilege not to have lamers vote kick/mute u. i'm sure you'll get it, since u are a valued player. also all this complaining about stats and so on is going no where, and is getting outta hand. ecgn has this server up for you guys and run it as a loss. feel lucky to be able to play here.. i do

well, if they were charging the same as the cusomers like $256 a month. plus the amount of time they spend handling everything.

Congrats ecgn/all for being one of the most popular RTCW servers ever

The changes to the beach are the best thing we could expect, so I want to thank for the effort given to make them whoever did it.
P.S: And I am going to ask too to any of the higher admins to set the ping limit to 175 or 200, I cannot connect to the server with the curren ping limit.
Please do it, I need playing!!!!
