I love it when the cops make mistakes like that. I once got out of a $300+ speeding ticket because the officer wrote down my license plate wrong - by one letter!

Of course, I did it without being quite the smartass as this guy, but it feels nice all the same :D

That cop that wrote that ticket will probably never hear the end of that one :)

I've learned from a kid at school to always fight speeding tickets. You can always get the ticket lowered by denying the actual speed by 5mph, and if the officer doesn't show up to court for some reason you win by default and don't have to pay anything. This kid got a ticket once for 500 dollars, he was doing 80 in a 40 zone. :freak:

One day I received by mail a ticket for illegal parking in Montreal. My boss had to write a letter stating I was at a meeting 200 miles away in Quebec City, 20 minutes after the time the ticket was written, and as such it was highly improbable I was the right guy. Never heard about it again.

Yeah if that was in the states you would have been pulled over a year later and found out it didn't matter what your boss said and that you were about to be incarcerated for the weekend in an orange jump suit for failure to pay the fine.

When my friends and I were in Colorado, there were two cars, three each in a car, they and I were speeding at about 50 in 25 mph. They and I saw a ranger was passing us and turned back to catch them and me. We acted like Deaf and we used to be from California. So the ranger walked around and checked their tag which was from California. So the ranger waived them and me. The first car was in front of us did do the same thing we did. At least they and I did not get any speeding ticket, yahoooo!

Sometimes rangers or cops are lazy to write a note and just let people who act like that go without getting a ticket or else.
