i just got a link on hpforum to read this thread here and though there's a lot of stuff i'd like to respond to, i'll stick to just this one quote.

first off, i'm an HPC reg. when i started playing wolf 3 years ago i played this server before it turned into "egcn". yup, back in "the good ol' days". the server was cool because lazer or third reich would show up and just totaly pwn. that was when it was fun. there were full airstrike canisters for spawning LT's. now, IT SUCKS!!!!

everyone has their own opinion of friendly fire, panzer grav, blah blah. and it's my opinion that i don't want to play egcn because it's my opinion that it sucks. my opinion is not disputable. however how i've come to my opinion is. here's a heads up.

1) this horny internet pervert trevor has showed up on hpforum. get this asshole away from us. he was yours first. i saw something about him being banned from you guys, cool and all. but as i see it he's your responsability and i bet one of you threw him at us in some clandestine dark irc chatroom plot to bring us down. well it won't work.

2) we kicked blitzer out of our anti clan for being a total dick. now he's in S.S. so i'm totaly entitled to hate everyone here. if you don't like that, tough, that's how it ended up.

3) there used to be cool admins on the server. admins like zog. now he was cool. now there's admins who love banning because they're addicted to it or something.

4) i've been banned just one time too many.

now in response to this quote. Parrot, there's a reason why you don't find hp regs playing on this server: it's not as fun. that's the reason why. it has nothing to do with skill, it has nothing to do with maps and dual vs obj, it has nothing to do with clans, it has nothing to do with admins, it has nothing to do with players. i guess each of those things does indirectly play a part, but not so much as for each of them to be an issue for the hp masses. they do combine however to make an atmosphere which is just not as fun.

our hp noobs and white names will pwn your egcn noobs and whitenames any day of the week. i've seen it happen when one of the servers crashes and everyone goes and plays on the the only other 64 player server still up. that being said, fear HPCs regulars.

playing on your server is not "playing up a league" it's just playing a different server. i'd like to think that i was part of the reason for spawning LTs with an empty charge bar, getting 100+ kills as an axis player is pretty damn nasty. but i can't do that anymore. using a flamethrower to roast the trenches and spawns was fun but i got banned once for doing that. calling artilery on the axis spawn was also fun but i got banned for that too. lagging myself breifly in the wr so the panzer shots wouldn't blow me up was fun(and worked REALLY well) but i got banned for that too. i even goombaed an admin and was kicked for that. i got kicked once for spawn killing at the flag AS A MEDIC while using my knife to kill anyone hanging out at flag and then the typers and afks. gee, if your server WAS playing up a league, then why'd i get banned and kicked so much?? and how come the few times any of you egcn'ers showed up to the short lived GAY DONKEY server you'd get your asses handed to you on rocket and chatau??

make your claim, but if you can't back it up prepare to be shut up.

now i'm sure i'll be flamed or whatever, which is fine. just keep this in mind, if you don't like what i said, you also have the option of ignoring me.

Why are you not going to play on the SERVER after something said and done on the FORUM (note: i put them in bold as they are two completly different things).

LAShock and PenisMonkey have little or no power on the server.. people like Drno, MTL_Killer, Seegster, and Fearless Jack are the ones who hold power.. and they are Lenient with it ie. they only kick if someone is being racist, blocks intentionaly, or if they are AFK for a long period of time while holding a Panzer (they do this as there is a limit of 5 panzers per team.. and that person is meerly not letting other people use it).

The admins respect what people say (within certain limits of course) and they never lose their cool..

So don't let something said and done on the forum affect you playing on the server, as i've said, they are two totally different things

panzerpussy forgot to mention that pliers, the guy kicked from your server which started this recent spat, he's also an admin on hpc. DIJ is the newest hpc admin.

about all they do other than what pp mentioned is to do map changes if everyone wants to play a few other maps or to enable something like /playdead or headshot mode. this stuff doesn't happen all that often but it sure is nice to see people who block stop the moment people are calling for a ban. the admins are so lenient they tend to not even know about what is going on until after it's already stopped.

they don't go out of their way to search in spec to find people to fill their ban quota for the quarter, making it look like they're doing their job or some shit.

Tofu your absolutely correct, style of play is way different on the 2 servers, but lets not twist the facts, flaming trenches you say? nobody gets banned for this. calling arty strike towards axis spawn? hey man nice shot, goomba an admin? hell I would have been laughing myself. maybe if you worded your post differently, the truth would rear its ugly head, but as of now just looking like band wagon banter. for the record ANYONE lagged is kicked.

In any barrel of apples there's bound to be a few worms. Ecgn is just a bit more vigilant about finding the worms before they spoil more apples.

Doesn't really matter how things are 'policed', people will bitch. At ecgn's Beach we generally try to go with what the majority are bitching about. Thus how the server has arrived at certain things like air-strike limits, faust limits, lives limits, etc.

I played on HP Depot to get a feel for things over there. I ranked first in the first full game I played there. I don't even know where the objectives are. I've played depot a total of about 2 hours in my life. So as to pwnage... I dunno. Perhaps a scrim would be a good idea

Then again... there would be endless kavetching about the 'rules'.

Different servers, different styles. If you like full-throttle chaos, you'll probably like HP's Depot, if you like tough gun-fights, you'll probably like ecgn's Beach.

Guys at HP, your free to come on over and give it a try. Ask any of the admins about commands/abilities specific to the server and we'll be glad to help you out.

As for Trever... Ammo Girl is certainly an attractive magnet, and I can understand why someone of Trevers metal would be drawn to her. Currently we have the polarity switched on Trever, repelling the majority of his amorous intents. Good luck.

Its not all chaos that goes on at the HPC server.. I mean.. what else would you expect in the coal depot with 64 people running around tossing airstrikes.. but you do get some excelent team work and amazing players..

Those who aren't like that know it.....I'm just saying you can derive your conclusion about their age based on how they act.

I haven't seen many people that act like that on ECGN, regardless of their age.
