Conclusions about HPC

Do you use the Mac for most or all of your daily activities and just use your pc for gaming, or do you use both for your non-gaming activities?

The people I've seen on HPC are very immature, unless they are all 15 .

As for ECGN being a laggy server? You guy's must not have a good machine or connection. Anyone on wolf with a 56k connection will lag or have a bad ping on any server. If you have DSL or cable you should have a good ping on ECGN. If you don't your high speed connection is horrible, or you need a new graphics card. You don't expect to go onto any game with a Pentium III chip with 128mb's of ram and a 56k connection and get no lag. Get with it guys.

Skill wise, I have no idea how good the guys are on HPC. The few times I have played there it was complete chaos with a/s's every 5 seconds, panzers flying down the train every 10 seconds and nades everywhere. If you can dodge all of this and kill someone than maybe your good for that server.

In my opinion to be good on ECGN means to kill 2 or 4+ guys in one life while reviving 2 or 3+ teammates and getting 35+ or higher accuracy.

People like Militinat who frequent the ECGN server are guys that have fun owning the gaming world. They know they own, they play to own, and they just have fun doing it. They never have an attitude because they know they are awsome players and are so good they shouldn't be mad.

There are plenty of others like wo0t, Vasiliy, CowGoMoo, HotGarbage, Space Ghost, Cyrus, The Hand, and so many others to name (sorry if I forgot you).

And you think your wolfplayers would own our wolfplayers? What kind of crap is that. If you don't know how to change your name you shouldn't be playing the game at all. And if you think that if a wolfplayer comes on your server for an hour and leaves as a "1337" your wrong. It takes a while to get good at any game.

Also just for the record, ECGN is not a clan it is a business and a gaming community.

I hate it when people defending a server they like resort to "oh, it must be your computer that is not good enoug" or "Oh, it must be your connection sucks"... I mean, come the f*ck on. You get with it - I can play on any server I'd like with no lag what-so-ever (unless the SERVER sucks). I go to ECG Network Beach server and every now and again it laggs. Not connection interrupted lag, but just choppy lag - as if the server cannot handle the load. Many people will, at the same time, exclaim: "LAG!" You will never see many people at the same time exclaim "LAG!" on HPC. End of story.

My machine specs:

Intel Pentium 4, 3.6 Ghz Hyperthreading
1 GB DDR 533 Mhz ECC RAM
Audigy 2 Sound Blaster
GeForce FX 5900 @ 128 MB
80 GB Hard Drive, 7200 RPM
and just for laughs, because it is so damn big, a 19'' CONVENTIONAL monitor!!!!

, the thing is so big it has warped my desk top!

Server lag != individual player lag (cg_lagometer 1 will prove this fact)

In defense of jdawwg: yes, ecgn does have server lag during peak times when there's +32 slots. If you don't notice, you're just plain dumb.

As for ecgn vs hp battle of the regs? omfg RAPE!....why even bother? We might as well just send Mili over there w/ his str8 h4x to put them in there place. (I just called u out h4cker!!!!!!)

I've noticed lag on ECGN, I'm not blind. It's just that the time I was on HPC, there was a lot of people lagging.

Militant could probably own everyone with his pistol. Mili has pistol whipped me a million times. I'll never forget when he killed 4 or 5 people in a row with his pistol, inlcuding me. Just ambarassment (spell check) and pure ownage

If you lag on ECGN try the command /pb_sleep 999

PB has caused a lot of lag for many ever since it was turned on. I just don't see how anyone with a good system or connection can lag, the server is running an OC-48 connection christ!

DSL

Not a top of the line pc, but I never lag and I've been playing here longer than a year.

Well, it is not the server's connection that is the problem. First and foremost, it is not my problem

. It is also not the connection that the server is running on. It is the server computer itself. The server machine that hosts ECG Network's Beach server probably does not have good enough specs to host 63 people. Maybe an admin can post us the specs of the server ECG Network 24/7 Beach runs on?

The lag I get on ECG Networks 24/7 Beach is nothing terrible. It only happens on occasion, when the server is maxed out, and when there is a lot of action happening all at once (like a large gunfight on top of the acis base with a lot of medics reviving fallen comrades, and repeating this process for a minute or two). The lag generally just makes it seem like you are getting 8 or 9 FPS for about 5 seconds. Then it passes, usually for a long time, but sometimes will come back for an "aftershock" just a minute later.

I agree, you would all destroy HP as I do

. I have owned repeatedly most of the guys who call themselves bad asses at HP (Main Offender, LA Shock, Pliers McJones, Toenail, Hawkeye, Uber Liberal). Now, I find your server to be very challenging to play on and am lucky to get in the top 5 on the score board. So, you guys would have no problem at all with the HP clan. Every time I play at HPC I am #1 on the score board, unless of course I am defending the AA gun or just quit

A/S, panzers, and flamers! Like mentioned above, the fuckers can't use a f-ing Thompson or MP40 to save their lives.

No time limits, FF off, no objective, it was a fucking free for all. They are like a cult, I swear.

I thank GOD that I found ECGN before HP when I first went online with WOLF!

Now I know what it's like to go slummin'!

jdawg what r u talkin bout you i never said hpc was a clan i know wtf shitty clans play there i dont need you telling me second ....... there is no ff on happy penguin so how the hell can the server settings be better.no ff panzers take zero skill and hp allows 5 of them yes ecgn could use a little bit of help on the lt bar but ive said that for years and to bring up lag or ping that all depends where you are located and the person machine i mean wth some of you are living in other countrys.that server blows and you should go back there
