i've same mouseas doug... (i just love the red light-thing :D)

just: right click for taking my mp40 and left click for shooting and scroll for zooming and take alt. weapon (with other words: scroll for sniper rifle)

all the rest i've some basic buttons i use in every shoot'm up, forward is up arrow etc... then my delete, end, page down, home & page up are for my other weapons and insert to drop weapon...

and i don't gonna explain the rest cause actually this is god damn borring :D i only know that with the way i use my buttons (what i find is a good way) i wont be able to use my hand right over 5 years... cause sometimes i've to use right arrow, spacebar & "I" at the same time with one hand so... very funny view ;)

And this one........

Thought it would look clearer if I did a screenshot rather than trying to explain through typing.

I'm getting all excited I'm so close to my 100th post now. Who wants to come to my party? :D

Okay other keys I use are......

Enter: Activate (open doors etc)
P: Drop Weapon
Tab: Show high scores
Binds: J for sound, 9 for "no syringes left", 0 for "recharging please wait".

I have small hands so all my keys have to be very close together. :)

Everything else is the default.

Best Regards,
Giggles.

I'm the oddball in the bunch, I use a Logitech trackball mouse. Originally started using it because when I first played online I often played as an allied beach sniper and I think a trackball mouse is terrific for sniping. I eventually stopped playing sniper, but was so used to using the trackball mouse I stuck with it. Left button fires, right jumps, the rest is all keyboard.

i don't get those players who use the A-Z keys for their movements... when i play i've not enough time to look at my keyboard and i would always have the wrong buttons... i don't care if i'm destroying my hand but i have to feel were the right button is ;)

I only run into this problem rarely. It's frustrating when I do, but I can't think of any setup where it wouldn't be an occasional problem.:D

I've gotten used to A-Z movement (half-life, HL-OpFor, Wolfe). And since this is the first game I've played consistently online - well, I just stick with what I know...

I was surprised how easy using the keyboard and mouse could be -- after using nintendo and playstation controllers on those respective consoles. I don't think I could go back...

i live in the morlock tunnels, its dark.
i use 1980's orange skateboard griptape i had sitting around....i put it on the keys i use most the time.

i usually end up yelling v,2,5 instead of v,3,5 but hey...it happens.

i use an old mouse with a ball and wheel. i had one of them lazer mice a few days ago, when my old mouse broke...and it screwed up my game...the response i was looking for from the mouse was just not there.

my control settings are pretty much stock...i dont like to change the controls drastically from default...

I have a simple optical mouse.
I use left mouse button to fire, right one for needle, the wheel to change weapon and I press it to open doors.
Shift to crouch and ctrl to run.

lets see

I use ctrl to reload
up arrow to move
down to back
left to strafe left and right to strafe right
use / key to push
right shift to run
m key for /s_stop

all the rest are the same

I like the idea of using right mouse to move

i have an optical its awesome...no mouse cleaning yes!!!!!!

Man, some of your setups are just unimaginable to me -- almost scary.

If you all can actually play well with those I salute you. And I look forward even more to shooting you down...:D

awhile ago i started a thread about mouses. I had stated that mine was acting weird. I would spin in circles for no reason. by the way i use the microsoft intellipoint optical.http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=460990/search=microsoft%20optical/ut=0cf7c0432b343479
anyways, I found that the mouse was not my problem.since it being an optical i didnt use a mouse pad. the mouse was picking up the pattern changes of my keyboard tray.Its one of those wood looking computer desks that shows the wood grain. Im sure you get the picture. anyways all i did was bought a mouse pad http://www.nextag.com/3M_Precise_ULTRA_THIN~3217905z3znz300000zz1zz3m_precise_mousing_surfacezmainz2-htm and it solved all my problems.

i use the normal keys just about...

w=forward
s=backword
a=strafe left
d=strafe right
q=lean left
e=lean right
c=crouch
shift=sprint
space=jump
x=drop weapon (easy to throw knives while running now)
f=+salute
g=giveammo 32
7-9 and 0=macro
left mouse=fire
right mouse=zoom
middle mouse sucks, i could use it less, i use 1-6 to change weapons. that just about covers my controlls
