Funny how you have to agree to the TOS before you launch the game, everytime you play. I wounder why they did that?

How about:

Betty Humpter
or
Craven Moorhead

Also here is where they left me with respect to a refund:

_______________________________________________

Will I be charged for the original 3 months I signed up for? The membership
included 1 month free and I signed up for another 3 months after that. I think
I'm probably still within the free month. The web site where I canceled my
account did not make that clear. Since I will not be playing anymore I do not
believe I should be charged for the 3 month subscription. Can you clarify what
will happen here?

So your telling me to pound sand with respect to the game. I can live without
the refund. Just know that on your ratings, which are right on the disk cover,
it says - "Violence - Suggestive Themes". I would suggest that this be changed
so that others are not misled into what they are buying here. No one is going
to read the TOS every time they login. If you guys are going for a cleaner
game, I can appreciate that. It would have been nice to know this ahead of
time, so that I could chose something else. A PG rating or G rating equivalent
is where this game should be. Also, a lot of the chat in game is way worse than
my character names and it is easy to squeeze language through your filters.

Maybe you NCSOFT should consider toning down the violence as well. Instead of
killing the villians (a lot of whom are loitering at best). Maybe the heros
could write jay-walking or loitering tickets. As you level up you could, you
could go under cover and bust shoplifters or write speeding tickets. As it
stands now your game treats all of these crimes as warranting the death
penalty. I don't see how this has any higher moral high ground than my
character names. Kind of hypocritical actually. Is it NCSOFT's policy that
senseless violence is OK so long as no foul language is used? They person who
made this decision is probably the kind of person who would wave at you at
church and ignore you in the liquor store.

I do not want to change my characters names. This is ridiculous. How do I get
my money back for the game? Also, I've canceled my account please ensure that I
am not billed for subscription.

I wonder if they would understand "Pearl Necklace". That name would be a riot.

Glad you noticed. My favorite character though was "The Wife Beater"

His bio was:

"After his divorce 3 years ago "The Wife Beater" lost 300 pound by watching nothing but Richard Simmons tapes and eating a low carb diet consisting only of pork rinds. Eventually the pork rinds altered his brain such a way that he gained super human powers. With the alimony money that he had saved, he purchased a 52 piece weapon set from "The Home Shopping Network". Ironically, his weapon of choice, the mace, was thrown in for free as he was the first of 20 callers."

This seemed to be the character that pushed them over the edge.

Saw "City of Heroes" review on X-play last night with Morgan (forget the dudes name).
They basically ripped it. They loved the genre and the idea of the game but felt it could be a whole lot more. It got a 3 out of 5.
Basically said you beat up bad guys to level up your powers to beat up more bad guys to level up your powers so you can beat up more bad guys to level up your powers, etc, etc, etc.

Patrick Fitzgerald

Gerald Fitzpatrick
