Anyone play this game? Graphics look good. Reviews are positive... Is this BF 1942 killer?

If you have played this game, tell us what you think.

Thanks.

That's gay. I'm really surprised they didn't put that on the front of the box.

I have and there seem to be quit a few bugs. For example, getting in and out of vehicles, I seem to get stuck for a few seconds. Also, sometimes when you get in a vehicle and drive off, you see the vehicle drive off, whie you remain in the same spot. I've noticed this when it gets laggy (I have a Broadband connection).

It plays a bit slower than BF1942, so don't expect exciting one on one battles. The box states that it will replace BF1942, I doubt that. The game seems very different from 1942 ad doesn't live up to BF42 standards. It's more of a snipers paradise. The game may be fun if you have good players on both sides, but otherwise it is way to hard to have any sort of coordinated attack. With 150 players, it will be a smackers paradise as well.

The flight controls for the helicopters are way to easy, so not much fun there. You won't see the benefits of good pilots like you do in BF42. I thought the graphics were a bit cheesy considering my hardware.

I played the demo for 10-15 minutes and was not impressed. Maybe I needed more time to get the hang of it.

I'd like to try it, but so far it's not impressing me much. I won't even try it if the gameplay isn't at least smooth.

I can be persuaded, but it seems like more hype than anything so far. 150 player servers does sound like fun though.

I take it there's no admins?

I lag to all hell on a 150 person server. It is okay in servers with less people. What I don't understand is, why would it get laggy for some people only with more people? The server handles all of the statistics for the game, such as people, objects, their ammo, etc. All the client PC has to do is draw the stuff on the screen - and I believe my ATI 9800 Pro can handle that at least.

It doesn't suck.

For me, the 150 player servers are smooth as silk. You just have to find the right one.

You guys call this buggy? BF1942 and BF:V were a lot worse, and there already has been 3 patches for JO in one month. Dice and EA could never do that.

Just give it time, it is a Battlefield killer :)

Just because you suck at it, doesn't mean its defective :)

When I beta'd Joint Ops, it took 0 skill... and was very boring. Hence, my love of BF.
