********DOOM 3 GOLD*********

Postby Buliwyf » Wed Jul 14, 2004 12:23 pm

Highs: Extraordinary graphics and sound; incredible tension, atmosphere, and mayhem.

Lows: Some stabs at humor fall a bit flat.

Bottom Line: Just as we'd hoped, it's a non-stop ride of tension, carnage and terror. A new classic.

Multiplayer:
1v1, DM, Team DM, and Last Man Standing. There are 5 DM maps shipping with the game.

I'm looking forward to it, it's been a while since I've enjoyed a good single player game, but all this hype for this long has kinda turned me off a bit. It seems like we've been raving about Doom3 for a couple of years now.

Hopefully it is good. The first ones were OK, I never was a big fan of the Doom/Quake/Duke Nukem series.

This should be fun...I really enjoyed the first two...especially #1, as up to that time FPS was was mostly limited to Wolfenstein 3D. A friends brother worked tech support at UNC and we would go there at night and play Doom on the LAN. Good times on a 486 :)
