Iraq gets books. U.S. burns books.

Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

That is just insane, I'm a devoted Christian myself and I don't go around shouting "Burn them books ma!"

I watched all three Harry Potter movies, I saw Wizard of Oz, I watched all three LOTR movies too... and I have no problem with any of it, neither do my friends at church...

Man, there's people out there with issues, they must be real bored or something, and decided to have a good ol' fashioned book burning because they can't enjoy life like the rest of us!

No offense intended towards anyone.:)

More and more people aren't buying into religion (almost everyone I know doesnt go to church, doesn't have a religion) and it's becoming more common not to have one. 50 years ago, I wouldn't have been able to say that.

Religion is slowly on the way out. Desperate people are trying to stop that from happening.

Does this have anything to do with the argument in question or are you incapable of making a decent argument?

To talk about book burning in America as wrong is not to trivialise the memory of the holocaust, it is more a way of honoring their memory by ensuring that the same mistakes are not made again.

Oh and rc you just made my ignore list, congrats you are in at number 2.

Looks like they wanted to torch some books in Iowa but the Fire Marshall said no way. The Fire Marshall suggested shredding the books instead and the Pastor actually said it wasn't "biblical" enough. :freak:

P.S. thanks Fark.
