Protecting the Constitution

While not necessarily for gay marriages myself this is good news. Leave the damn Constitution alone. Amending one of our most important and powerful documents shouldn't be done willy nilly to protect peoples prejudices.

Stop trying to change the damn thing and start APPLYING it the way it was written!

Heh, a few months ago my province of Ontario made gay marriages legal... let's just say for that weekend, we had a lot of weddings... and not of the straight kind. Next, they're fighting for adoption, that they should make it a law that adoption by same sex parents are ok. I don't think it should be...gives the kid nightmares and problems wayyy down the line...

*shudders*

Oh, I vote you, Ingus as ECGN's political correspondent... ;)

He's probably catholic.

Most catholics are against abortion and gays (from my knowledge, please correct me if I am way off on this one (which I might be) ).

Personally, I don't care what the gays do...as long as they leave me alone!

As for abortion, I think it should only be legal under certain circumstances:
Incest
Rape

I mean the part where they have 'nightmares' and 'problems' later in life. That has got to be a joke.

later on in life as kids teasing the child, psychological problems.

And not a Catholic but close (Christian), although I 'm not like those fundamentalists. You live life the way you want, I 'll do the same. :) Everyone's entitle to their own opinions, as long as it isn't a personal attack, it's fine by me.

Dunno about nightmares, but problems, sure. I mean, how many centuries of evolution does the human race have? And all this time, nature (or god) has not seen fit to change the necessity of a man and woman to breed? and to raise the child? How could you think that it would be 100% normal to raise a kid with 2 moms or 2 dads? That means the kid misses out on certain key developmental experiences.....

I don't agree with homosexuality, but I don't condemn them either. However, they have no business (notice I didn't say right) raising children....

My friend was raised by his mother and his mother's female lover. He is currently in Iraq, is straight, and does not wear pink panties because he was raised by two women.

Many kids are raised by a single parent, yet turn out perfectly fine even though they are missing a mother or father.

Hey!

I did nothing but post about the Constitution. Thats what's important for me.

Although I can see kids who have same sex parents getting a lot of garbage from other kids. Most kids are cruel to anyone or anything they don't understand or are different from them. Much like many adults convinced of their political beliefs or religions.

Buts that life. same sex parents, four-eyes, wearing a funny looking shirt, your mommy brought you lunch, kids are cruel little bastages.

I'll say this and only this about Homosexuality. From an evolutionary standpoint it's a dead end. Same sex should not be able to procreate. When you look at it that way you would think nature would have de-selected it due to the fact that it should never be passed on as a genetic trait. So where does that leave us? There's something going on there and I haven't enough information to figure it out yet.

Commando summed it up best I believe:

You live life the way you want, I 'll do the same. Everyone's entitle to their own opinions, as long as it isn't a personal attack, it's fine by me.
