Admin abuse?

I think the admins do a very good job keeping the server the way it should be. Keek and Savant are two names that jump out at me when I think of a great admin. Have those two ever done something wrong? Anyways, all these stories I have read in this thread, I have never experienced one of them. I am not saying they are lies but I have never had those problems.

The admins do a good job. period

I´ve seen how 2 poor guys was banned for it (and was the only tk I found in console) in 2 minutes when the admin only joinned 1 minute before and left 2 minutes after.

The big difference is that when Beowulf tks someone he isn't doing it on purpose. It doesn't take more than one deliberate tk to get a ban especially if you've warned the player before, or observed similar behaviour on a previous occasion. Tks are fine (in moderation of course) shit happens, but deliberate tks will earn you a ban.

Hence why we REMOVE them from the barrel! If you dont like how things are run on ecgn, then leave! The needs of many outweigh the needs of few here.

I thought I saw one of the admins playing as stenjesus. He was killing people left and right. Then I found out that this was not who I thought it was! Keekanoo was on the server as well so I got worried, but the admins did a great job of not kicking him or anything even though it was a blatant impersonation. GG Admins, you do a great job.

here, here Doctrebor. TK'ers, spammers, people who /kill (God do I hate them) should not only be banned, but then DOS'd so they can't ruin anyone else's fun on any other server!

Just kidding about the DOS - it's wrong to do anything like that to anyone....no matter who they are.

That wasn't a criticism to the admin X-Treme, that was a critisicm to the PERSON X-Treme. He sends me a PM with the content that I'm on his dick-list, make the admins look bad and post bullshit. Awesome, that's what I expect from my own clanmate and an admin.

To the -101 score history: Jon punished me for that, I'm not a level 1 user anymore (maybe I'll get it back in 2 or 3 years).

And by the way, we are talking about a game. I don't believe people hate each other because of a game. In Germany they would lough at me if I tell them what happened between X-Treme and me. It's a GAME.

If i dont like a person behaviour or his action i will tell him, right to his face in a pm just like it did w/ u. And if u dont agree w/ what i have to say PM it back. that's what i espect from some1..

Just like u rushed to the forums when that jezus guy got banned, if u stayed a little bit longer u could have seen he was unbanned. And if u dont understand why he got banned that many secs or only for bleeding. PM that admin most of the time thiers a load more than wrong doings. But instead of asking a admin and than knowing all the facts , u post in a forum how that 'poor guy' got banned for bleeding only . In my eyes than youre just after something to make admins look abusive.

But if he was unbanned right after the ban, the admin who banned him did something wrong, right? So I'm right with my statement: "Poor guy!". And that's no reason to tell me I'm on your "dick-list". Maybe I misconceived that, thought about that possibility?

Nah, man! Like Parrot said, I wouldn't TK on purpose. Ill admit I did a couple of times for revenge but that was waaay back. I quess I was lucky enough not to get caught. My point was that my TK's are purely accidental EVEN after I would nade an admin. Did it a couple of times in a game to Keek and Sav (at different times, dates, etc.) but they KNEW it was an accident so I wasn't even warned. Shit, I've been fragged by Keek's nades a couple o' times too...I just give a quick "LOL" and he says sorry.

I remember getting TK'd like 5 times in a row from a d00d that also plays on [TS] server...cant remember name. Anyways, I wanted to TK him back sooo much...I just bit my tongue, pm'ed Keekster, waited, I seen him go into spec mode....waited, got TK'ed again....waited....and like another TK before he was kicked! My point is, I had to obey the rules, felt like a kid telling on someone but that's what we must do, and EVEN AFTER I got Tk'ed with Keek watching, Keek didn't ban him then....must've warned I presume, and when he did it again, THAT's when Keek got his ass and I was smilin' and laughin my ass off. That showed me that Keek is very reasonable for both sides. Not just the "tattle tale". LOL

I've also been sternly warned for name toggles, spam, etc., so I know Im not above punishment for my abuses. (Even if they are small...name scripts pwn)

I've speced you Figo and admire the way you play...hard, no nonsense, no spamming, pwning, etc. You play a very solid game IMO, just wondering why you seem to take this topic to heart.

Is it just me or do the 1337's seem to have the biggest problem with admins? No disrespect intended, I just do not see what you guys see.

@ Keek: I don't want to take you up on that bet, I'll keep my 10 bucks!
