When is this madness going to stop?

This is not intended to be an argumentative political thread.
I am just concerned about civilization.
How can us human beings treat each other like this?
Will it ever stop?
I am starting to doubt that it will...

Some Iraqi's were probably thinking the exact same thing when their loved ones were being killed by american soldiers.

American soldiers running around killing Iraqi "loved ones"? Your a sick individual.
Name me a time and place in history were the soldiers of a country were more responsible and caring than our own troops. They put themselves in harms way to protect these people. You amaze me.

Yeah, and I bet some Germans thought the same when their loved ones were being killed by Canadian soldiers.
What's your point? Which war? The first one or this one? Pretty sure Canada was involved in the first one too.
Also, if i have my facts straight, I'm fairly certain that Hussein did some pretty evil things to his people. Now you want to tell me that America has inflicted a greater suffering upon those people than Saddam ever did. Right.
Regardless of whether or not you agree with the war, you made a very stupid statement.

Actually, it is a correct one.
That is the sad thing. Americans can do no wrong, only other countries.
Do you think these people are fighting us, kidnapping and beheading people or doing suicide bombings just for the fun of it? It is not possible they have a grievence against us? It's not possible that they may be a little bit angry at us for what they feel is an invasion force, for family members killed in error as a bomb hit their house, not the compound next to it?
These peopel doing this, right or wrong, see things a diffeent way. Saying that is not so just shows how narrow minded and ignorant you are.

No, I agree to an extent, however, you have to look at the larger picture.
I see it as partially being our responsibility, don't get me wrong. Of course it is, it's obvious. These people wouldn't even be in the country if it wasn't for us.
However, you have to realize that these aren't very nice people who are doing this. These are the kinds of people who would like to see you dead, just because you're not a Muslim. They are jumping on the anti-American bandwagon to get face time.
Regardless of whether or not you think or had thought that the war was justified, you have to admit that this behavior is unacceptable.
What if this was what the Germans or Japanese did after WWII? Who would you blame in that scenario? The occupiers or the occupied?
It's a matter of perspective. I try to be objective. However, putting 100% of the blame on America is not correct. Also suggesting that the Iraqis were somehow better off with Saddam, and that their lives were peachy keen until the Americans showed up is proposterous.
It doesn't matter what we did or what we are going to do. The world and people in general, being what they are, will always look upon us with a negative viewpoint.

As always, Jimmy, you have the only correct answer. But, just for fun, let me offer another.
Perhaps you didn't realize, in your vast knowledge of history and international affairs, that bombings, kidnappings, and killings have been going on in the Middle East for generations. Specifically speaking, the mastermind of this particular spate of kidnappings and suicide bombings, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, has been engaged in a "jihad" since the early eighties, when he was part of the mujahideen in Afghanistan fighting against the Soviets.
Rather than assigning noble motives to this man (like being angry at the US invasion of Iraq), perhaps we should be realistic about human nature. Perhaps Zarqawi - a high school dropout - is nothing more than a power-obsessed and respect-craving bully who's just got more means and more anger and hate than usual bullies. Perhaps he just likes to kill, hurt, and terrorize people. Maybe he's just looking for a cause with which to associate, just so he'll have a "casus belli."
If you knew anything about the real, everyday, common man in Iraq, you'd know that for the most part, the people of Iraq actually like the work that the US and our coalition allies are doing there. We're rebuilding schools, hospitals, civic infrastructure, media outlets, and local governments.
Basically speaking, we're engaged in nation-building, and it's working. How do I know this? Well, aside from the fact that it's literally my job to know such things, I've actually met the people and the US companies - hired through USAID - that are responsible for rebuilding Iraq. I've read the letters and seen the interviews with Iraqi people to these companies, thanking them for what they're doing.
So, while you might quibble about the quality of intelligence and the justification of going to Iraq at all, you can't deny - legitimately, at least - that Iraq is now better off than it was before we came.
Oh I can't wait for the cynical reply to this. Come on I know one of ya can find something negative to say. focus REAL hard on the pessimistic side you can do it.
