thats ok, i just bust you over the head w/ a bottle and do what i want anyway.... drinking just softens the blow...

Boring ceremonies... besides all its going to come of these olympics is that there was/wasn't a terrorist attack, who did/didn't get caught doping and what former eastern block female weight lifter out lifted every other man in the same event.

Yeah, let's hope no terrorists try anything during the games.

Jeffro: Whenever a smaller country like Greece, hosts an Olympics, their athletes in most of the events, autmoatically qualify. To get more athletes, i believe they had around 430, they borrow athletes that didn't make other countries rosters, but have some Greek background, to give the country more players. This happens in every Olympics, unless of course a country like USA, Canada, Britain, Russia, Japan, China, Germany etc..host it.

im glad the ceremony is out of the way and the competition has began. I like winter olympics better but there is something about athletic competition that is exciting. I think it has to do with the fact that these people have trained harder at something than i ever will in life. They are here my sporting amusement... muha ha ha ha

yeah we don't tend to do very well at olympic games.

for one thing, canada only has 32 million people. countries with much larger populations have more athletes, leading to "more" "better" people.

it's also no secret that Canada isn't hot year-round. We have more luck in the winter games because we spend all our time indoors playing hockey and curling
