Lest we forget...........THE BLACKOUT!
That's right folks, on this day of August 14th 2003, the North American eastcoast had its biggest black out in history. From South Western Ontario to South Eastern Ontario in Canada, all the long the eastern seaboard of the United States stretching down to Philadelphia I believe? were in the dark for a day or two. I don't know about you guys, but I lost power at around 2pm EST, and got it back around 11pm EST, I knew that other parts of the continent got their power back much later, like a day or two after. Actually, friends I knew who lived 30 mins away or so did not get power back until like the next day.
I remember talking to my neighbours, this girl next door who had a crush on me when she first moved in, remembered my ex-fling who lived down the road called me up to see what I was up to, (hmm, darkness everywhere, a bored girl in a wandering SUV, hmmmm hahaha I didn't bother though cause I so not wanted to at the time altho now I think back I wish I did but can't cause I'm tied down now! lol) Er, what else, cooked food on the gas grill, all the neighbours had barbeques out front on their driveway, the local convenience stores and grocery stores had line ups of people buying supplies, I swear it was almost like Y2K the way it was gonna be!
Bet ya many people did the nasty that night because they had no choice but to face their spouses with no TV and computers! I bet Buliwyf went insane because his wave of spam of terror were postponed! haha
(eh i wonder if Jon that night added more rats to the wheel to keep ECGN servers online
)
Casus was probably sitting their poking them telling them to "get faster!"

I was in main on vacation at the time so I didn't really notice it. Come to think of it, I was eating a bowl of Clam Chowder while watching the news on TV.
i remember it... didn't affect me at all...they kept talkin' about it on the news though.... i think i missed an episode of friends because of it.

Missing Friends is always a good thing. Bleh to that show.
I remember seeing it on television and thinking what a lot of people probably first thought: "Oh God, another terrorist attack." Then it just turns out our power grid is lightyears behind where it needs to be. Somewhat anti-climactic but better than a terrorist attack.

Yes, it stretched a little past Philadelphia and i lost power from late afternoon till the next day, in southern New Jersey. I just watched a show on the 1965 Blackout in NY on the History Channel.
No lights on, jeez what a stupid reason to have sex....

I was 30 minutes from where the black out ended. I had a lot of buddies stuck in Cleveland for the night.

I am in the Midwest. I pwn all the silly East Coast blackouts. (Jeffro is right about the Midwest not being affected by outside influences)
