Regarding hitsound Wo0t or Sharpie or whatever you'd prefer not to be known by, I was requested by the guy who owns the server not to advertise it. Happy? I know you're a malcontent and were peeved when I requested you not use /hitsound as a name, but forgive me for holding back on the real reasons motivating me and letting you rant on this subject for what.... 5 months now? It's moot, Wo0t.
is there a way to turn the damn thing off. i mean if its not good for the server and causes lag... might as well, ya know?
Besides if we were real players anyway, we would play OSP come back and bitch at those shrub fucks that aren't good enough to clean up wo0t's diaper.

I tried the /hitsound this morning and uh - it didn't help that much.
But hanks everyone for the input on Mojos question. It was one that I had also. 'Cause I have been concerned about his aim for a while also.
Seriously, this has helped me.
And of course maybe I could just practice some more and quit whining.

Keek's tips to aiming:
Spec people who get high acc. Not including snipers.
Spec people who get high kills with a Thompson, mp-40 or Sten.
Spec people who repeatedly own you with the mg's.
Aim-high. Headshots are not counted if you hit their neck or their face. It HAS to be the top of the helmet. I shoot above the helmet. Imagine no helmet and thickish brush-cut--that's the line you're aiming for.
Don't focus on hitting the player where they are as much as guess where they are going to. If they leap, immediately aim to where they're going to hit the ground. Take your time, prepare the head-shot and fire 2 or 3 rounds into that space.
The Thompson and mp40 chatter as you keep the trigger down, causing rapidly deteriorating accuracy. Always shoot in bursts of 2-6 shots. Unless you're behind them, then lay them cold.
If you're advanced enough, throw a nade forcing them to move somewhere else--line your shots up to where they're going to go to. Don't bother spraying bullets as your jumping to position.
It's all about being calm. The most serene players I know, and the deadliest for it, are Edogg, Downey, Vasilly and Uppercut. There are better players, but those guys know how to play the game smoothly and professionally. Grab some pop-corn and sit back and watch them play. It's a treat.

Keekanoo, thanks again. I have wondered about the face / neck shots. Those did not seem to be very effective at all.
Going higher does make sense. I have got good results when I have gone higher. I did not quite understand why.
Specing players is a good idea too. Yes the good ones seem to have even, flowing & relaxed movements as they run and shoot. A good way to learn.
Good in theory, in practice well.......
It is very easy to run and gun.
[ old habits die hard ]
So if any Admins see me specing for a while on 24/7, I am not trying to eat up band-width!

Mojo you asked me a while ago what I use for my aim, so here ya go:
Mouse: Logitech mx510
Mouse Pad: I bought a Ratzpad a while ago, and though it works well, I don’t use it (I’ll explain in a sec).
Teflon tape for the pads on the bottom of the mouse; makes whatever surface your on hella slick.
Surface I use to play on: Back in the day when I first put my machine in my room I needed a table, but of course I wanted one I could also use for putting other stuff on (CD holder cases, speakers, Bawls bottles, Jolt, etc). I spent a little bit of time searching for a table worthy of putting in my room but found nothing. It wasn’t until I went to Home Depot that I found what I was looking for. Randomly walking around, trying to find what I was looking for, I found a long white table top table which, after further inspection, was perfect in size. To hold the table up I went next door to Office Max to buy two filing cabinets, which are filled with computer components, cables, accessories, etc. Though this set up sounds a little ghetto, it really is better than other “set ups” that I’ve seen (that is IMO).
Actual game play: I know some people will tell ya to get “this” or “that” sound / mod or to improve your fov, type whatever command, etc which if it works for you and does help then great. For me the only thing I use / adjust is the sensitivity bar within the settings in Wolf. To some they may have started out as I am currently then found out about some setting that they heard was really helpful for them etc, and from there are a better player but for me everything is fine how it is. Not to mention I love encountering people who can *own* my ass, going against these type of people makes me a better player, no bs.
Crosshair: The small one that is like this: + (dunno the name of it if there is one)
Engaging a 1 on 1: Using this crosshair aim for the chest or for the middle of the player and aim little to the left or right of the player while strafing (the aiming a little to the left or right will depend on which direction you’re strafing in). This works because when your idle, the bullet goes straight so when you aim a little bit more to the left or right, again while strafing and obviously on the move, this will compensate and you’ll hit the player almost every time. All of this is IMO, maybe I’ve explained it wrong or am right on one thing and wrong on another but this seems to work for me. Also, if you can sneak up on someone and don’t wanna waste a nade, aim for the head; they go down easier.
Weapon of choice: This really is on preference. I love the MP40 because, to me, it just seems faster on reloading, though I’m sure the reload time is the same as the Thompson but again this is IMO. I also like the firing rate of the MP40 though it’s not as accurate as the Thompson at a distance, again IMO.
Hopefully this helps :-)

good call minion... last night i took it upon myself to help clear out a crowded basement full of axis w/ a dropped panzer. Then went in kamikazi style w/ my thompson. Of course a panzer cant kill 25 people so i got destroyed by 5 venoms in the wr.

I agree....and any ping over 100 sucks, unless you are a master at headshots. Because trust me you might be able to kill the noobs who can't play but any good guy w/a decent ping is more than likely you're history.
And all those commands? I don't know how they would help....sounds too confusing...

Also, I can't hear my hitsound. Not that I care much. I'm still practicing on hs.
