?Work? What is that . ?Work?
Man you need a sugar momma!

Just kidding. I'm off to drop kids at daycare then I'm back later today. I do not know if I can help you much but I will give you an opinion or two.

The BIG one although is school. A 4yr degree even in dog massage if worth alot.

I also have had several differant jobs and vocations. I believe strongly that having more control over your time and your work is the best. That can take time and direction to do.

What, at this point in your life do you find interesting in general? [ not so much related to work]

Hmmm Mojo wants life advice, this could turn into quite a funny thread.

I am a student at Florida State University and still make time for Wolf (the wireless internet is the greatest thing ever!) I played a lot in highschool and managed to be a good student, just make sure you know what your priorities are.

As for work, Im a lifeguard and make $10 and hour which isnt to shabby being a student. And its not an overly strenuous job, so if you can swim good look that up. Plus, if you become a water safety instructor (like myself) you can teach private swim lessons certified by red cross for upwards of $50 and hour! (the most ive made is $110 an hour for a lawyer and accountants 2 sons) Or you always be security at a mall or somethin (thats gonna be my next job come next week).

Good Luck Bro!

alot of security jobs around where i live give drug tests. So if you're do some of the things i like :D , you might want to consider this before job-seeking. But seeing that you're top in your class for chemistry, i doubt we share the same life-style (actually i did make a high A in my College-level chemistry class).

Did you mean you were high in Chemistry??? :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Time to play wolf?? About 20 mins a day with the kids now right VLF? Ahhhh i remember the days I would play for hours on end....

Vlf is right, get that degree. If you are going the tech route, certifications are nice fluff but what do you think an employer is going to value more, a 4 year degree or a certification you can get in 2 weeks? I think MCSE is WAYYYY over rated (IMO) over college and real world experience. We have way too many paper engineers in this field, that is someone who has all the certifications in the world and no experience to apply it.

Enough of that rant, get that degree, get that degree, get that degree. My biggest regret is that I f'ed it up the 1st time in college on my P's dime. I didn't take it seriously and partied wayyyy to much and after 3.5 years of college I had basically shit to show for it, other than a couple transfer general ed classes. After I started working for Verizon I used their tuition assistance program and got my Bachelors on their dime but it SUCKED ASS going at night and on weekends when the rest of my co-workers/ friends were all at home, at the bars, out chillin and I was stuck in class.

With a 4 year degree even in like Business Management you can go/do anything with it. You don't have to know EXACTLY what you want to do as this point. Unless your gonna be a Vet/Dr/Lawyer something like that you just need to get a 4 year degree. My old VP was the head of Sales and prob made about 200k or more a year and you know what his degree was in... Parks and Recreation.

Ok enough drabble, i have to get back to work now...

Small world-----Namloot

I am a eletrical / power systems engineer and consultant. But I still know how to bend pipe. [But I was a scab- not much IBEW out here]

Quick now:
How many #12 THHN can you get in a 3/4 emt?

What the Volt. Drop Formula?

Sorry everyone. Its electrician thing- you wouldn't understand........:P

Mojo--------------
I work for myself now after working for several other companies etc. So while I can sneak time in to play Wolf it is hard to do while doing the adult thing. You know family, work, church- try to be a part of society somehow.

And I did not do well in school ...... Fairly average until I got done.
Respect to those that do well.

Follow my old neighbor's example. He was getting lots of money from the insurrance company for a false pain in the back, and he was selling drugs from his house. He never worked in his life and he was high all the time. With a life like that you could play Wolf anytime.

I work at Dairy Queen and go to school (this is the first full week) so I won't be on the servers at all for a long time, at least not during the week.

I´m Physic Teacher (Also Chemistry and Maths) in Secondary School (in Spain secondary school are guys between 14-18 years old). So much money, few hours to work...in Spain you need finish the career according to the lessons (5 years Physic Career in my case), and then some pedagogical courses. If I´d teach on public Schools (still more money and less school days) I need do a hard competitive examination. Atleast is how in Spain it works (more or less).
