I never bought a Neo geo, too expensive for me.

Although I did spend £80 on Radiant Silvergun.

And I'll never get rid of my N64, not as long as Conker's Bad Fur Day still works. :D

I wish I could punch each and every one of you who uses graphics as the only reason why a system sucks. Sorry CodeRed, I have no ill will towards you, I just hate that arguement.

True ps2 has the worst graphics of any of the 3 systems (usually). But it has a lot more high quality games than xbox. That of course is realative, if you're one of those people who only plays sports games, you'll probably be an xbox player. But I don't count sports game only players as real gamers. ;)

*sniff* Squirrel, that picture brought a tear to my eye. Poor Dreamcast, great graphics for its time, and even today some games look outstanding. But it was hindered by no US support and that freaky controller. I never felt comfortable playing any game with that thing other then RE. Thank goodness my friend and i built an arcade deck for the fighting games :D
All my consoles are Nintendo systems, and they are the SNES (woohoo!) N64 and of course Gamecube. Im no fanboy, ive played every console out there since the Atari one way or another, but ive always had more fun with Nintendo systems. So, thats what i bought.
My 2 cents on the consoles:
PS2: Ok graphics, mostly all CG anymore. Contoller is nothing new, thats good and bad. Alittle too small for me actually. Horrid load times. Online play, meh... if i want to do that ill get on my PC. Backwards compatability is an awesome feature, even if it doesnt work on all games. Biggest selection of games, but few AAA titles.
XBOX: Terrible contoller, painful to play in my experince. Poor button placement. The best graphics out of all the systems, easy. Needs more exclusive titles. Online, ^ see above.
Gamecube: 2nd best graphics. Some games look better then others. Controller took awhile to get used to, but now its the easist and most comfortable one ive ever played. But out of all 3 systems, the games on GCN are far more enjoyable IMO. Also, i can play Soul Caliber 2, a fighting game, and put in Tales Of Symphonia, RPG, and play on the same controller and be just as comfortable. Something ive never been able to do on any other system.
To wrap this up, really it doesnt matter which one is better then this, better then that. True, GCN cant play anything but the mini-discs, but thats what my CD player, MP3 player and DVD player are for, right? And if i really wanted all that so i could just sell my standalones, id order the Panasonic GCN that can play all of the above. Theres so many great choices out there, you cant go wrong. It just depends on what you want out of your console.

I think PS2 is the best, not for tech specs or better graphics but because of the variety of games. Xbox only has a few good games like Halo, but that is on PC now. If you online play sports games go out and play it in real life! GO buy a freakin football, soccar ball, cleats bat and batt. You'll have more fun and it ins't just sitting around. Like racing games go buy a freakin go cart, spend the $200 on the console on a cheap go cart.

Gamecube has ok graphics, from the demos I played at the stores none of the consoles could give the gorgeous graphics I'm used to from PC. But gamecube has very little reason to buy one, Metal Gear Solid? Npope got it on PC, graphics arn't good nuff? I pump up the res all the way . >=D
Zelda is really the only reason to own one execpt maybe the simpsons.

PS2 however has many quality games, star ocean, the final fantasy series, and many best selling games from japan are ported over for american release. PS2 has sports games, RPGs, action adventure and FPS. And the most games of any console.

I am sorry but graphics are big for me. If I don't enjoy what I am looking at then I don't want to even play the game. IMO.
I find the PS2 does have a larger variety of good games but visually, everything is grainy and unfocused, not sharp like the x-box.
Anyway, I don't even play console games anymore. Just PC games but I didn't mention that because the title of the thread is CONSOLE of Choice.

PS2 is the best, XBOX is wack, it has no good games u have to buy a dvd controller to watch dvd's, worst deseigned controller ever (PS2 is the best controller ever hands down, but i still prefer mouse and keyboard), and if you drop ur ps2 on a four year old it wont kill them.
Dreamcast is no joke my friend has one, it plays cd videos, nes, snes, and genesis games, i have thousands.

Halo=most overrated game ever
Computer=ultimate system
"Holla for your Dolla"

Consoles are for tards enough said

Everyone can't afford to drop 1-2 thousand on a computer. So the $150 console is an excellent option to fulfill your gaming needs.

You do not need to buy a new console every 6 months. They are good for at least 5 years before you need or want the latest console.
