My Resume

Postby LordShard » Sun Sep 05, 2004 8:34 pm

Is there anyone who is good at making resume who could give me some tips for my resume?

Could anyone possibly spell check my resume? If your spell checking it just tell me what word I misspelt and the correct way of spelling it.

I need to get a job by the end of this week and I've been looking really hard, does anyone have any ideas for places I could go to spply for a job in my area? (Northern Virginia)

My resume is @ http://www.geocities.com/noval_garaint968/Resume/Resume.html

All I do is load up microsoft word and use the resume builder.

if you don't have it at home, I'm sure your school uses it on their PC's

Spell check? Does MS Word version 10 (2003) come with that yet? Or has MS forgotten it again...

Or wait, what happens if you load an html file into Frontpage, does that have a spellchecker too? ;)

You can't use M$ apps on linux.
I had to use what I remember of HTML off the top of my head to make this with a text editor.

Real quick one

? When do you plan on completing your NE cert?

sometimes that helps define a timeline for someone who is reading that.

It isn't a certification, it is a degree.

word of advice you did not spell efficient right, and two little word of advice don't list that GED...I do alot of hiring and firing at my place of employee, I would pass right over it, because you listed very very little work experience and that whole GED thing, as well as the whole resume looks unorganized, where's the objective?????.....go to a search on yahoo and hit writing a resume, and you're goos to go

Remember never date anything but job times, because you will get a call on an interview, because they can't weed you out by just your age, which by the way is against the law, but they do, do it

I was told not to use an objective and to put that into the cover letter.

My family also told me to put when I got my GED into it even though I was told people look down on it. :\

I re-arranged it to the way you said. Better? Worse?

Looks good, however, wouldn't you want to get a bachelors degree?

Yes, but not right now, I'd end up flipping burgers for to long to be comfortable with me.
