Actually, Kim Jong Il is about the scariest guy around. There is no limit to the evil he will commit on his own people or others. The Japanese wife that is mentioned was abducted in the 70's while she was walking along the beach one night. North Korea cannot be reasoned with, and the more namby-pamby bartering we do (i.e. Carter in the 90's) the more dangerous they become.
