Resident Evil : Apocalypse

Shot in and around my hometown of Toronto, it was odd seeing the city... the big showdown at the end, that's our new city hall... Neat eh? ;) At night though, there's a lot of homeless people sleeping in front of it, I bet ya they got cast in the movie as extras and probably paid with a lot of food that they can survive on, maybe even little bits of money from Hollywood. :) I know there's a lot of homeless people who take shelter there because I use to volunteer down there by talking/greeting them and giving out food/water in the summer months.

The big paired buildings at the end where so and so breaks out, those are actually huge warehouse type complexes where trade shows are held, it is on the grounds of what is known as the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition).

Add smoke for effect, tint the film a little and you have Racoon City...

Great movie, better than the first one, token black guy is hilarious and he actually lives! (For once!)

Some movie trivia for you:

Zombie scenes at night were shot near the University of Toronto's downtown residence, so students saw movie sets outside their windows and a bunch of zombie extras walking around, late at night!...hahaha imagine that..

Edit:

Jill Valentine was totally hot, she can bite me all night long! :D

From the previews of the movie I thought it was gonna blow because it looked like a tomb raider clone. If it's better than the first I'[ll watch it when it comes out on DVD! lol

I heard this movie completely blows, but I never base others opinions on whether or not i see the movie.

I'll probably go see it, since I liked the first one.

I like zombie movies. I liked this one although it gets a bit extreme at the end. I liked the first RE movie too. I think the first was better. 28 Days Later was better than both RE movies in my opinion.

I like Ebert's review of it, very funny.

The movie was horrible. The first one was surprisingly fun to watch, but this one was one of the worst movies I've seen. Just like AVP.

The only good thing about the first one is seeing Milla Jovovich's vagina.

I saw the first one for $5 when it came out on DVD from blockbuster! he he he

It was pretty cool, wasn't the greatist movie outthere.

The people who make these movies make their money from the hardcore RE fans from the video games, they act like this...

OMFG LIEK LOLOLOERERZ!!!!!!1111one111 Da j00 C d4 RRRRTE MOODDEEE?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!! Ist LIEK DA SHOIT J)!

not really, I just felt like makjing fun of newbies, heh heh

Just saw this tonight. I thought it was entertaining. Lots of action. Not the best movie but worth 7 bucks on a Sunday night. I would have liked to have seen more CG creatures and graphics but that is just me.
The 2 chicks (not the scientist's daughter) were pretty hot and the movie DID have it's token brief nudity. Thumbs up to that.

I'll probably catch it this week. I can't wait till 'Shaun of the Dead' comes here though. Supposed to be pretty funny, the trailers look good.

Love the nod to Monty Python's Holy Grail (where the zombie keeps walking, but seems to get no closer to them)
