From Keek, Bubba, Savant, Savage Parrot, LuniticFringe, Militant, Amaryl, X-Treme, Cyborg, Shipwreck, Seether, Raven and any other admins I may be leaving out:
Do Not Block DOORWAYS, etc etc.....
Its called /bind f +salute. I do not use it for the hell of it, I use it for a reason as do others. I feel its far more effective as well as legal in comparison to a tk. In these scenarios you talk about did you stop to think about whether or not there were soldiers from the other team behind us firing? Didn't think so.
And don't think that if youre a 'friend' of an admin they wont come to you. Keek has drilled me with questions on one specific inceident I recall when I used my bind in a duct. What you may think is autopush is just us having quick reflexes...
Now for clarification: I know recently there was a axis engineer trying to defuse dynomite at teh wall and I ran out of ammo so I saluted him away from it. I didnt not stand over it and hold my bind, I pushed him once to interupt the defusing process and then started knifing him. Is this a violation?

Wow, thats a smart way to use it. I never used it that way before. Good idea.

Standing in doorways is blocking. It's strictly noob and if you are doing it then they are right to shove you out of the way. Same thing if you are standing on the stairway railing impeding the flow of traffic. They tell you they don't have it on becasue they don't infact have it on. They are using their bound keys to move blockers, not running around with it left on to get an advantage and annoy team mates.
*edit and doc using +salute to shove away a dyno defuser would definately qualify as +salute abuse imo, same as if you used it to keep out the doc runner or to shove people off a ledge. I don't think it should be used as a weapon.

Yeah, I gotta agree on that one, Parrot. It's too much of a slippery slope. I thought about it earlier that pushing a enemy dyno layer/defuser would be alright....but nah.
This will just devolve into a million 'what-if' scenarios (a lot of people didn't want it enabled at all precisely because of this, way back when).
Lets keep it simple. If you run out of ammo and you're that close to someone, just use your knife. And if you don't think that's affective, get in a room with the Mulinex.

Anyone bitching about Mik3's spawn script is a str8 noob, no exceptions. It's called "Team class utilization". A script like this is 100 times more useful than taunt binds "here's another present from slaughter". Anyone that is a team player knows that the more information you can get from your team, the better off you are, this is the whole reason people use "enemy spotted here" binds and "docs are going long/short" binds (in mik3s case, you will know if the panzer is now free). And his bind actually takes one line of text (but will wrap around depending on the class and his location)...using a phrase like "takes damn near 2 lines of text" is a little misleading. This also means that anyone who spams "docs going short/long" as many times as spam protection would allow should be banned and there are a lot of abusers of this.
As for his "COLLECTIVE day after day nonsense", this seems to consist of using /kill, /+salute over the fwd bunker, and all around general rage on noobs. I could see why they would want him banned. It's obvious that people who use /kill are held under a more powerful magnifying glass of scrutiny. Basically, if you use /kill, you better not miss a step in any other part of your game or you will be dealt with (I wonder why
).
Actually, it'd be more like a one page flyer. And I'm sure I speak for others when I say that we would prefer a very clear and distinct list of rules publicy displayed to follow that can be ammended in order to be as current as possible. I'm sure people are sick of getting banned/kicked thinking that they didnt' do anything wrong. I also think it would be smart for admins to record demos whenever they played so that people couldnt come up with arguments of half-truths in order to make admins look stupid. Of course admins won't like this idea as it is slightly invasive since they'll have to mind their behavior.
As for the autopush...Trebor says "I feel its far more effective as well as legal in comparison to a tk". So someone trying to get out of a door but is getting fired upon, tries throw some fire down while crouching and moving out the door, and then u shove him so u can get out and he gets killed by the enemy because he lost his orientation. Yeah that was effective, especially since you'll probably get your helmet taken by being such a predictable target...at least you're not gonna get in trouble with the people that matter, right?
You have been around long enough to know the rules of the server. Since you are a reg, I vote for a temp ban, if not full. This is blatant abuse of /+salute along with the history of idle threats, and spamming by using !admintest/!listplayers (we even saw one in the demo rofl). And then you come here and brag about it...and don't think you'll get banned because you are the admins jr assistant.

Wo0t... actually regarding the two lines of text I was referring to the spam message 'Did you get the memo?' I think you got the memo'... with something else added in there I can't remember. It takes up two lines.
Saying what class you're going on a pub server with 63 slots leads to a LOT of spam when a LOT of people start doing it. So... the question is... do we allow everyone to do it, or try to limit it? You tell me what's going to happen when some nub who wants to impress everyone learns how to bind. Seen it over and over again. Before you know it, the text screen is taken up by people spamming what they're going to become, thinking of becoming, are confused about becoming, blah blah blah. Now, we can't say it's ok for some elite peeps to say it but no-one else. Now you're asking us to discriminate. No thanks. So it's simple. It's a pub server with 63 slots. It's not a professional gaming zone. Spam begets spam.
Decisions made have no bearing whatsoever on /kill. History on bleeding, tk'ing, spamming, server spamming, auto-salute abuse is enough. It's remarkable to me you have to try and balance such a massive amount of issues on one side with 'oh it's admin abuse because so and so uses /kill or pwns the admin' (lol--I actually RESPECT people who pwn me, silly me).

I have to disagree with you.... I dont think the demo thing is smart at all for any party involved. Then you have people spamming forums of selectively cut demos that glorify them and display a few minutes or so of an issue that goes deeper into a not-so-selective environment. People banned for Tking will have demos of a few minutes of them not tking...etc...and by that logic... does this mean that if a person that is banned for racial slurring produces a 2min, hour, whatever demo of them not doing it it is to be assumed it wasn't done? Come on, man.
And admins sure dont need to go through the bother of making demos to prove whatever to whoever disagrees with them... that is the purpose of these forums.... to see what the majority believes/feels/sees/experiences.
From what I believe/feel/see/experience, I trust all the admins...I know they watch eachother.... they discuss actions to be taken/not taken..... and they try their best to please the masses.... im sure all you people know that you can't please everyone at the same time...and im sure none of you have done it before.... nor will ever do it. As far as I know admins are approachable... if you have a beef Im sure you could PM them in game or email them through the server here.

Remember this I especially liked the bit in this thread where aphid and woot attacked the favouritism towards killermik3 and criticised the way he never got more than a slap on the wrist. But then hey it's only admins who need to be consistent in their approach right?....Right?
I agree, and stopping ppl using a spawn script is not a good idea, especially that not a lot of ppl use it, and it's rare to see someone changing class every time he dies. Never seen ppl spamming their classes, and anyway, it's what teamchat was made for, informing the team. Why stopping the teamchat from being what teamchat is for?Originally posted by ^wo0t

Exactly, since all those stories about people getting banned, I'm always a little afraid to do something I didnt know that was a kickable offence. Even though I'm a reg there's probably some rules I dont know.Originally posted by ^wo0t

Yep. They are reasonnable people and if you have some problems with them a PM mostly solve it, well a lot more than starting a thread about admin abuse like many others did.Originally posted by Siren

Like I said, you fail to take in the consideration that there may be say a venom behind me versus the mp40 in front of him. Its a moot point that obviously is a waste of time to beat back and forth. The fact of the matter is this: I was in the right, end of story. And Im sure a player as decent as Aphid can get around a little bit of fire....

First off its called statute of limitations, I can't receive a ban, not only is it unwarranted its just plain ineffective. Not to mention this scenario probably would fall under some sort of ex post facto clause because it was never defined that you couldnt do this (hence why I asked...not braggin you boob) Unless of course, Keekanoo and Parrot and any other applicable admins, you feel I should learn a lesson then let me have it, I won't go crying.
And ^wo0t, seriously, lose your attitude. I don't know what's the matter with you and why you insist on jumping on my case, but its annoying. Im not the fricken admin jr assistant so just stfu. Just because I have (what I consider) a decent relationship with most of the admins doesnt mean you have to come make all these asanine comments. I dont go around flashing a admintest, i dont go around making threats, so just bac the f*** off and get a job or somethin.

Spamming in game and 'server spamming' are different things. Spamming in the game is doing something like saying 'MEDIC MEDIC MEDIC' over and over everytime you get wounded, or spamming 'I'm going too respawn as a Medic with a Thompson' everytime you spawn, or 'You were killed by the best, take it like a corpse' everytime you kill someone....
Server-spamming is when you get temp-banned/banned and then throw your computer on rejoin and 'walk away to watch a movie' so everyone gets to watch your re-entry temp-ban countdown for 3 hours.
Frankly I don't really care if someone spams a message out every once and a while.... like if they kill someone in a difficult fight then say 'you were killed by the best...' etc, etc. That's fine. Not a big deal. No one to my knowledge has ever been jumped on immediately for that. It's when it adds up over time. Things like 'You were killed by the Mike..... I hope you got the memo, did you get the memo?' everytime you faust a wack of noobs in the trenches gets annoying. A few times a round for a joke isn't a big deal. Everytime you faust the trenches, /kill, respawn with a fresh round ad nauseum, then it becomes annoying, and then admins step in.
PL M@ster....the reason spamming doesn't bother you is because we try to limit it. It's a fine line between letting everyone vent and have a good time and putting a !mute on someone when it goes to far, or, if needs be a kick or more.
