Firefox is excellent, but it still has some bugs to be worked out.
Its still new though, and just came out of beta. It will be fixed for the most part on menus/forms ect by the next release or so, and will then be years ahead of IE.
IE will still be the most supported browser though, therefore leaving less room for problems displaying parts of a webpage.

There is an extension for firefox called ieview that if you're having a problem viewing a page in ff, then all you have to do is right click somewhere on the page and select "View this page in IE" and IE will load and load the page.
