If you want power, get an American car.
If you want speed, get a Japanese car.
If you want reliability, get a German car.
If you want luxery, get an Italian car.
If you want a piece of shit, get a Korean car.
That's how I look at it.

I personally don't give two shits about handling and speed. I like the looks, feel, and sound of vintage cars (foriegn and domestic).

VW's , like the Audi's and BMW's... are great cars. You can't lose with German engineering. I have the Passat GLX and.. trying not to be too biased here.. it is quite the smooth running machine. Very tight. Handles great. Quality whistles and bells, etc.
Sorry but I had to speak up against all this negative vw talk.

I respect VW, I think they make good cars, but their market share in North America is falling, probably because they havnt updated thier lineup significantly in the last few years. IMO, the cars are expensive for what you get.
When my dad was looking for a sedan, he looked at the Jetta and Passat and like them, but they just cost to much compared to other cars with similar qualities...

I also dont think it helped that phaeton bombed...

Thats kinda whats nice about modern cars, very few companies actually make bad automobiles, just some sub-par ones...
