ok, I did a tracking on my shipment, and it looks like my pc will get here Monday. Hopefully there will be someone home to answer the door(school until late), otherwise it will be Tuesday. If all my hardware installs properly,
I should be back up and running Tuesday night at the latest. Then, after waiting to play rtcw for over a week, I will be going to virginia for thanksgiving weekend. So essentially I will only be able to play with my new rig for about a day or so. That is just going to be a major punch in the stomach and a kick to the nuts. Seriuosly man I need my Rtcw fix...im twitching.

well....sadly enough, i had this happen to me too, we took it over to my brothers high school computer teacher...they ran tests on it...the was the mother board. they said this happens because of swap file drive not having enough space....so until u fix ur mother board, or get a new comp....no more
, ive kinda been shaky bout going to 1.4, which i wish i didnt have to go to, since i have servers i like on 1.33 and 1.4, well, the fat lady is singing
i know u already knew this, but if u guys could help figure out how to keep the swap file cleaned out...it shouldnt be a problem, i know u got a new comp comming in, but if u already havnt trashed that one, u should screw around with it. When ur done....take a hammer, and whack it, then throw it off a cliff and run over it.....dont forget to smile and laugh

???
No offense, but your high school computer teacher must have majored in stupidity.
What the eff would a swap file have to do with your motherboard??
Motherboards do sometimes fail (often due to improper installation), but they do not fail because your swap file was screwed up.
Good lord, I can't believe this guy is teaching the youth of America. We are truly doomed.

Damaging motherboards
Sometimes the damage is done by simply pressing the RAM into the DIMM slots. You can bend the printed circuit board if you push too hard when the RAM isn't properly aligned.
The older the motherboard, the more brittle it might be, too.
Motherboards are really very sensitive. It's tempting to toss them around and handle them like any other tool, but they are immensely complex devices....hundreds and hundreds of miniscule conductors and capacitors and god knows what else are soldered onto those PCBs.
Motherboiards are NOT, however, damaged by hard drives that are almost filled to capacity. Man, I still can't get over that.

You simply cant install the wrong kind of RAM into a board that doesnt support it. DDR, Rambus, and PC133 are physically imcompatible and you just cant put it in the slot, it wont let you.
Yeah what kind of moron is that teacher? You should go back to him and slap him upside the head for me.
