pfft I have virtual pc already, it's shit. It wouldn't recognise the headset or any of my peripherals and it was slower than hell. I'd need a much faster computer to even get it to boot properly. Even on my dad's new g5 it's still a piece of shit and 250$ as well. I think i'll just wait for them to come out with a compatible vresion of ts before i try again

VirtualPC works pretty well for a limited set of uses. Where I work, we use it to test our web sites under Windows-based browsers for compatibility and the like. Unfortunately, there's no way you're going to run RTCW and VirtualPC at the same time.

Emulation and gaming are both very processor-resource intensive. It would make a lot more sense to just find an inexpensive PC. I've got an old PII-200 that I'm going to set up for Teamspeak one of these days.

Isn't there a linux based version of TS? Maybe that can be made to work on OS X?

You can make them run togther but you need a supercomputer to do it

Nevermind. The company that makes Teamspeak needs to make a few changes and recompile it for it to run on OSX. OSX is BSD Unix and it's posix compliant, so it shouldn't be too hard for the Teamspeak crew to port it for OSX. Maybe they just aren't interested due to Mac's low market share.

I suppose rather than getting Virtual PC or something like that, the best way would be to get the cheapest PC possible, perhaps a Pentium III. At computer shows I have definately seen old PC for $50 that would run teamspeak. Even easier, check your local college. Odds are they will have program for getting rid of their outdated computers (quite a pain in the ass actually) and you can usually snag something for $5 or $10..that's right five or ten bucks. Use a router and hook both the Mac and the el-cheap-o PC up, perhaps with a KVM if you want to save space on your desk (add $30-40).
This should get you by until Teamspeak comes around. I have an old Pentium III laptop that usually serves this kind of odds-n-ends type of function, which is perfect 'cuz it's small, built in display, portable.
