They do not begin voting until 15 to 20 days after the Pope's passing for a new Pope.

This is a time to be joyous, a humble passing from this world to the next is not always granted, and it does seem fitting to be in this Easter season. Blessings to all.

r.i.p. It just was his time.
I believe the cardinals will select a new Pope from their group, 21 days after the Pope died, Jimmy. :)

The next Pope has one heck of a pair of shoes to fill.

He was an amazing, and popular man.

Truly grat men trancend creligious dibides. I think he was one of them. He's got a free pass to the VIP lounge anyways so I don't expect he's too sad about the whole thing.

He'll be missed:(

I'm athiest but still what he did to bring down communism and help Regan in the cold war is remarkable, he was an excellent pope not only for what he did for his cathloic followers, but for all of Eastern Europe and the communist countries.

On a family vacation to Italy a couple years ago we saw the Pope saying Good Friday mass in Saint Peter's Basslica. The real kicker was that I was too busy admiring the mother****ing awesome architecture/decorations of St. Peter's and did not notice the Pope until he started speaking in Polish (I'm bi-lingual; speak Polish + English fluently). Naturally, I turned to see who was talking and it was the Pope himself! I couldn't take my eye's off him. I guess certain people just draw you in with a mysterious type of auroa.

Sad day...
