It REALLY helps to get the Silo since it can lay waste to the enemies before you even shoot them.
After level 11, you have to deal with rocket launchers. This is when you really need fire support, so I added a total of 10 gunners, and 10 engineers. These guys saved my ass with the normal troops as I took out the rocket launchers. It also helps to get the sniper rifle. It is more powerful and can really lay waste to everything. I also had gotten my self a 64 bullet clip by then too, so that really helped a lot.
After level 19 I believe you deal with tanks. The Silo is a must for this.

I finally gave up and just let my thing die at day 48, it was too easy, i didn't have to reload at all and all i had to do was kill tanks, and with so many repairmen, i was at 1,000hp almost all the time. I never fell below 900. I finished with 110 Gunners, 60 Repairmen, and 65 Siloworkers.
