I do, and I am in no way religious.

The Pope is a huge firgure head and leader for many. John Paul II was able to even affect those outside the Catholic beliefs, including muslims(many Muslim leaders and followers have mourned his loss). He was a great man. I do nto consider him a holy man, or anything like that(again, not religious at all), but he sure did take his position as Pope and hit a grand slam with it. Truely a great man.

I was really hoping the next Pope would take what John Paul had done further, but this new conservative never will.

Ditto.....I could care less about who he is or what he does. Im just making jokes about it because people think this is one of the biggest stories of the year. I mean lets think about it.....Who is going to be the next pope, or who will be the next captain for BOTR? Which one do you care about more?:freak:

thats true with a lot of things in american society. other nations and places around the world truly care about the pope, i for one dont. look at 9-11, we didnt care about our nations security and now we have all this shit trying to protect us. we only care when something breaks or dies.
