ban

Postby aegis » Fri May 06, 2005 12:36 am

Hello Everyone,
Yesterday, to my great surprise, without a word, I was kicked and banned from the server by SAVAGEPARROT. When I tried to reconnect I recived a massege:
banned:md5tool

I assume that this massege means that I was banned due to some md5
checksums inconsistency. However, because I play on one and the same
clean RTCW install with just path 1.41 and nothing else for at least
6 months now, this allegation is ridiculous.
I would be grateful if any admin, explain my case and remove the ban .

RTCW nickname: aegis
GUID: 6668b3c5e36ff2a6eb1a0383180cb75e

regards
Aegis

And what's your explanation for this:
[PsB:0539 V002342D7] 6668b3c5e36ff2a6eb1a0383180cb75e "^pLAmE eXCusE" "24.203.181.69" MD5TOOL #9002 (osp/mhconfig.ini)

Simply put this means we don't want him on the server. And if he wants to claim a friend did it or something then thats his agenda.

In any case he can view it like this...we're not banning because we dont like aegis....we're banning this GUID/IP for the discoveries we've made tied to it. Aegis, take this as another ban added to the list of bans you have on other servers.

response to SavageParrot:

1. I never cheated in any way, if you think other way - you are wrong.

2. If you will look into logs, you will find that I always (at least for the last 3 months) play from one and only one static IP address and its not the one that Marcello posted before: 24.203.181.69

3. I admit that its rather sure that not only me play with that cd-key, how did I obtained it and what happend to my original one is obviously lirrelevant at this moment.

4. What hurts me most is not that the GUID that I was using was banned by you - I will get new one in short time, But hurts me most that you considered ME as a CHEATER based on you suspections, observation and words from uknown to me frustrated players.
I play this game since 4th day of RTCW test 1 and I NEVER have done ANYTHING to deserve that name.

Doesn't seem that irrelevant to me where you got your cd key. Can't see too many reasons for needing a new cd key. Still w/e the bans lifted so who cares.

Ban is unlifted as we do not trust other peoples bans.
