New Day

Postby S.S. Heir Pie » Mon Mar 10, 2003 8:19 am

I want to thank all who partisapated in the Clan wars, it was a fun and frustrating day, I hope that this did not ruin any friendships, as this was suppose to be a friendly game.

I for one want to get back and play for some fun, thats the name of the game.

Gaming Goodness...

Postby Lord ZOG » Mon Mar 10, 2003 9:35 am

Well, all things considered, things went rather well. I think we ran our server well, the maps loaded fine, there were only very minor issues with the server, we kept track of the bracketing efficiently and every team got to play a fair amount.

Sure there was bitching and whining and fighting and accusations and venom spewing and harping and swearing and posturing and threats and stand-offs and hurt feelings and tempers flaring and missed meals and broken mice and worn-out keyboards and flaming posts and the odd gerbil up someone's ass...

...and oh, yeah, GFU (Team Borg) was the winner in the end. I'd like to congratulation KillerMike (aka 23 of 45) and the rest of his surgically enhanced Wolf-nerds. I'd suggest they take some time away from studying maps and running Wolf-drills to get up out of their chairs and get some sun on their pale skins...and if they see beings similar to them, but with breasts and soft skin, not to run and hide. They're called females.

Team IND was a tough lot; Heaven was a panzer-whore, Hell was full of piss and vinegar and Lt. Wilson needs to submit a urine sample before we give his team that first round win. RADRAM is, and should be re-named MADMAN because he's a fantastic player.

I'm sorry the WEF guys dropped out early. I wanted desperately to avoid a forfeit of any kind but they were gracious and very polite and humerous throughout the chaos.

I didn't see much of the ASB guys, except the ass whooping they took at the hands of the WEF, but I like those guys anayway...except AnimalMother must have had his toast burned that morning because he was especially cranky.

I'm glad the ASH guys showed up. I was even happy to see my ol' friend Ironman there and kicking ass (I nailed him a few times, too!!). Their participation in the tourney was short, unfortunately, but this is not a reflection of the skill they posses, more a result of having to patch together a group of players quickly and at strange hours. They were gracious in defeat, which is more than I can say for some of the teams that won.

The S.S. crews did OK. My team got their asses handed to us in the very first match...but things were hectic, I was crazy getting the server going, Team IND had tremendous talent and we allowed them to have a walk on in the last second (and the creep lead the scoring in each round). We recovered with a win over WEF, despite some confusion over the rules (nice try, WEF....Sub as tie breaker??? I think not.).

S.S. Elite was the cream of the crop I think, just a bit inexperienced on the Base map (considering GFU studied maps for endless hours of the week).

Half the S.S. Elite squad had to leave early (for frikin church...how embarrassing) but we able to cobble together a team that GFU could kick the snot out of (still studying maps, 23 of 45?).

Good gaming, maybe the next time we'll spread it out over two days, limit it to one server and not include any ringer teams...just regular, day-to-day, everyday-Joe squads.

Hey Potsie, Ralph-Malph is on the phone. He says Fonzi is pissed!! He says he wants the iMac back!

I loved the tournament, it was fun kicking RD's ass since i know Gehawk in real life :P .
I was happy WEF already made it hard for us, it was quite obvious they owned sub :) , but we took them back on axis complex and then won beach :ar15:
But then GFU, our teamwork didn't go so well and they just owned our asses :flame:
I must say it was fun, but i tried to enter SS server to fight GFU and i had to wait half an hour because the server was full, next time kick all those spectators so the ones that need to play can still enter the server :roll:

Too bad we didn't play against ASH :)

wef, you're not joking, us against wef on sub was like a you playing against first timers... that was horrible, way worst than what gfu did to us... but again, non of us play sub, well, i do, but I can't beat a team by myself... lazer did good on all maps... but he's just one man... he runs to fast for me, I think he has extra fuel hidden somewhere...

well, beach was good, now thats a match i really enjoyed...

~~~~~~~~~~~
GFU, I still want you again...
I want Zog, elite, lazer, Ice, Edogg, and myself on a 5 on 5... complex, communique and beach if neccessary... if I left any ss out, Im sorry... not that I don't think you're talented cause some that i left out have more talent than i do, i just mentioned us 5 cause we are the oldest elites... (not in age)
If you can give us a general idea as to when you wanna play us tha, the collective will comply. We don't study maps 24/7, but we do make sure we are comfortable in them and we know the high-trafic areas.
I don't think we spend any more time gaming than anyone else, but the time we do spend is spent practicing as a team and playing against ppl of greater skill. Waves of noobs on OC will not improve your skills as much as playing against teams in leaugues and ladders. Most of the teams in the tournement are not used to smaller teams. I see all of you in larger servers with 20+ players. Gameplay is different when it's 7 v 7 or 5 v 5. I'm sorry if we are the only team who is used to that type of play.
In my continued effort to give you, the gaming community, added value I will attempt to translate the Borg language into proper English;
Fine, lets have a water balloon fight then... lets see who wins that one... :)
seriously, Im up for it, but Im not sure if the team mates i mentioned are willing to do it...
one thing that kills SS is lack of communication... we MIGHT have more skills than you guys, but let me tell you NO ONE ever talks to anyone... we wait for game day and type 3 or 4 words and thats it... thats not good, we need more togetherness but thats what happens when your clan is too big...
S.S. we all need to exchange AIM names and or msn...
BTW, Zog, in your comments about IND players, thanks for not mentioning your repeatedly flaming my ass in the comm room at the complex. That wasn't exactly a proud time for me, but had loads of fun coming back for you just to get killed again.:D
The SS-IND matches were by far the most fun for me.
Eat my plasma, Axis Scum!
I didn't mention it only because I was kind of ashamed at my blatant flame camping like those loser Axis queens on the back stairs on the OC48 Beach server!!
To think I'd stoop so low!!!
