That's an actual command :)

It's for lag compensation, you know when your running
from some camper and you get shot right after you turn
the corner and die anyway....

well if he had /unlag 1 set he wouldn't hit you ...

Jono needs all the disadvantage he can get :blow:

Sorta like the dumb airstrikes where if you just barely make it out of an airstrike and run just inside a doorway....You die anyways...:( lol

Thanks for all the help guys. Even though i've tried all that was posted it still hasn't cleared up the problem. I've even tried reformatted my harddrive and everything and still nothing. So, now atleast I know it's not a problem I can fix. It's a server problem. But...anyways, thanks again.

Jono-

If you are running a linksys router (I'm not sure if you are or not) then try messing with your MTU configurations. If you would like an article on this I can send you one.

I was having similar problems at one point and after I played around with my MTU's everything was fine. Since then I have upgraded my system, Linksys is not as good as their parent company (yes that was a plug for CISCO).

If you feel that your router is dropping packets then get a new one. A new D-link or linksys should be cheap enough.

If you are sitting behind a linksys switch that is behind a linksys router then take the switch out of the equation.

Try plugging directly to the cable modem. Be sure that ICF is turned on... or else.

If you are running cable as your ISP media and live in a populated portion of your city then consider the cable connection as a possibility. I know that everyone raves how they love their cable and how it's better than DSL, and technically depending on the type of DSL Cable is faster, but you are still sharing it with everyone else in your switching area. The more people that use it the worse it can get. I have seen cable connections come to a crawl in heavily populated areas during peak times.

I would not consider the server as a source of the problem. Unless that server is having some kind of problems with it's connection media, including NIC. Unlikely for ECGN's setup.

AS for me, Verizon just terminated fiber to my home. I'm getting close to 20 Megs down and close to 20 up.

-Just some honest thoughts from someone who's been there and done that.

I've had some lag problems as of late too, it's typically my brother abusing the router by downloading useless shit.

I've tried directly connecting. I have a D-Link router BTW. I connection should be good, I don't live in a high populated area. And the readings on almost all bandwidth test sites read me as great. Well above DSL. And that also read my as no packet lose. So I don't know. I ping the server and it checks out good. I don't know what the hell it is. So I just have my maxfps set to 125 and it's okay. So I can still play atleast without being manhandled by everyone. Thanks for the tips though goat.

Sorry none of that helped you out Jono, I would still look into the MTU's though. At the very least it could increase performance.

One more thing you may want to try is a traceroute to the server. This will let you know if there is some place between your Demarcation point and theirs that is slowing you down. The syntax is 'tracert' from the cmd prompt.

-I'm on defense.
