Monitor go BOOM!

Postby Brummbaer » Fri Jun 03, 2005 7:10 am

Ladies n' Gents,

My 19" flat screen CRT monitor went belly up. I've been using a old 14" monitor for a couple of weeks now so I can get my daily fix. I've been thinking about buying an LCD flat screen monitor, but have read many conflicting evals of same, vis-a-vis ghosting, etc. Are there any decent performing LCD monitors suitable for gamers out there, or am I going to have to settle on the big ol' clunky CRT monitors?

I have a sceptre 19inch flat and it is awesome, bought it at Sam's Club. Was gonna buy it online then saw it there for the same price, i figured i'd rather pay the tax and get it at a real store in case i have to return it. Check tigerdirect.com they usually have the best price for it, it is a great flat. I have had it for about 8 months now and no problems, and I only have a 64mb vid card and the graphics are sweet.

I have a VeiwSonic A90f+ 19" CRT monitor here. They can be had for about $200. Beautiful monitor, good size, great value in displays.
